If you haven't fixed your garbage disposal yet, there's a little red button you have to press under the tank under your sink. Happens to mine all the time, it just shorts out like a blown fuse and you have to reset it. Super easy :)

in the future for weird garbage disposal smells (or any smell really) vinegar is a great non-toxic goto. pour with super hot water (from a kettle). let sit for a 30 mins or over night. once it’s working again, you can use ice to clean and clear it.
