I really like the split screen to see the before and after at the same time :) !

I adooore this kind of videos! I mean having the recently bought plant and a year later. Many channels simply don't bother on showing you what happened to the orchid, or they even change it for a different plant, but it's amazing to see how they are doing and knowing that they can recover nicely!

I am new to your channel. I have just seen your violet collection, which I commented and enjoyed. I am thrilled to hear you are from Romania, my school did a three week concert tour in 1972, when I graduated HS. Way before your time. It was the most awesome time of my life, the people were warm, kind and offered their home to alot of places we traveled. I enjoyed greatly they sharing their culture with the 65 of choir members. Again thank you for sharing your videos. I often buy, sick and damage violets and orchids from supermarkets and garden stores. I have learned alot from watching people tutorials like your self. I am on a fixed income and I love plants but I can not pay the full prices. So I tell God, I will do my part you do the rest.

They look awesome! I am so proud of myself about my rescues as well even as a beginner. I saved two Miltoniopsis orchids last year and now they have new growths and one even bloomed this year!

I’ve just watched the original repotting video, the 1 month update video and now the 1 year update and it was so wonderful to see how things have changed in that time. You explain things so well and I love how you share what things you like and where you’ve changed your opinion too, and why. It helps people like me who are just starting out on our own orchid journey. Thank you so much, you really are so generous with your knowledge and I’m glad I found this channel 💚🌿

I love oncidium type hybrids. They're so versatile. It's fun to watch their grow stages there's always something growing. And they recover normally quite quick so you can transform sad looking ones into nice lush looking ones in a relatively short time period

Could you please do a video on your routine to prep your orchids for a one month holiday/vacation absence? (For example, do you greenhouse them and put them in large plastic bins or baggies? Or perhaps, you have an elaborate Rube Goldberg self-watering system?) Would love to see this!

I recently ordered an orchid and it had those brown spots on the pseudobulb and I thought it was in bad shape. I knew if I watched enough videos you would explain what it was. Thanks!

This video came just in time. Im currently rehabilitating and onicidium orchid that has tiny new growths, clearly underwatered and the previous owner mounted it on a tree and it fell and she just left it hanging on a fence in full sun. So now im taking care of it for her and hopefully i can help it recover

I have been waiting so long for my orchids to bloom with nothing. It helps to know that it's normal for them to take some time to get established.

It's completely normal. I waited nearly 5 years for my Dendrobium mosschatum to bloom. And it was so worth the wait!

Hi Danny. Your oncidiums looks terrific. Perhaps another set of lights for the edges and corners? Soon you'll be lighting up whole neighborhood 😂. Hmmm Xmas lights.

Hi Danny, why not place your odontoglossum hybrids near your miltonias and give them the same treatment? Your claypot treatment like on one of your videos.🤔 Btw, ‘looking forward for your dracula orchids to bloom. 🙂

They all look great! I used to have four new growths on my new Aliceara Sunday Best, but one of them stopped growing and rotted. I’m guessing it got water in the leaves and caused rot? The others are growing nicely now. Hopefully they keep it up.

Hi Danny. There's a question that's bothering me. Do you keep your grow lamps or artificial grow lamps on 24 hrs in your grow room or you switch them off after a certain number of hours each day

Hi there, I see at the end of your video that many of your oncidiums have pruned leaves. Is it ok to do that if the last 30-40% are becoming discolored/floppy? I have one that has verrry long leaves and would like to trim. Thanks!

Do you use the LED light at night too?
@rufia754 жыл бұрын
MissOrchidGirl, would you soak a phal more often if during the repotting process, you had to trim off 80+% of the root system? I repotted into a bark mix (from store peat/moss) and I'm wondering if it needs water more often since the root system is so small and it's trying to support more with less roots?

hi danny another great video. What tempreture is the room you keep them in? After our move last year I am having trouble finding a spot to put my orchids in at our new home. I also have very limited windows so I am using artifical light. Light and warmth are an issue here, on the cold side.

Hi Danny, please help me, on my cattleya hybrid bud a tiny black spot appeared and it started to grow sadly I have pruned half of flower bud and applied hydrogen peroxide , but the dark spot appearing from the edge where I made the cut, please tell me what should I do😔
@makkachin96144 жыл бұрын
Hello, I think its best it you cut the flowerspike or part of it completely, there might be something wrong with it :( Its better to use the flowerspike instead of your whole orchid
@vanessagomez96404 жыл бұрын
Hello! I recently bought an orchid from stater brothers and when I bought it, the flowers were ready to fall off. I’ve been following your tutorials on how to trim the roots & repot the orchid. However, this is my first orchid and I have a few questions. I just trimmed the roots, which have a mostly yellow look to them (which I think is because it was in a solid color pot with no light) and no more flowers. The leaves look healthy for the most part. Should I trim the stems or should I let them dry on their own? Thank you!
@makkachin96144 жыл бұрын
Hey, what do exactly mean with the stems? Usually a stem of an orchid should never dry out. Which kind of orchid do you have? In case you are referring to the flowerspike, where the flowers fell off, you can cut it close to the base or leave it dry out on its own it doesnt really matter. :)

How can I send you a picture of some of my orchids? I need help with one particular one. It’s so old it has woven its roots into a basket in which it inhabited. It’s got large leaves and otherwise seems healthy. Thank you. Andy
