A beautiful town. I am so thankful to have been born and raised there. Though Missoula has much more to offer now, living there 50 years ago was an even better treat. If one could "live on scenery" I may have been able to make a go at it again about 13 years ago. Never-the-less, it was God's blessings for me to experience it. I have always looked forward to "going home" on vacation.

Missoula also has some killer bookstores that definitely punch above its town’s population size

@6:23 The house right behind the fire hydrant currently has a contingency for $1.59M. I live just a few houses away. In my opinion, this neighborhood (University District) is the best in Missoula. Of course, I might be a little biased.

Why would anyone buy a home now with such high interest rates ??

Is the rattlesnake area named that because of rattlesnakes?
@kdub1666 Жыл бұрын
There's some interesting history/theories about that but maybe an even more creepier Rattlesnake neighborhood story is an upcoming documentary titled The Bodies Beneath Us. KAPX8 did a recent news video on it. Apparently land was purchased and homes were built on top of two Chinese burial sites in the Rattlesnake area. They say over 1000 bodies are buried there. If true, I would think some neighborhood home values would drop after the documentary comes out. Hopefully it's not as bad as it sounds.

That place has lost its mind! 40 miles north of Atanta in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains you can get nicer, larger homes for half, or less. And the kids (like mine) can go to UGA or GT for free. Unreal prices to live in frozen Montana. I was curious about that place until I see that clearly, the real estate has made it a definite NO.

Born & raised in Missoula. Your spot on. WAY overpriced. And getting worse everyday. I was hoping the economic downturn would wipe the housing market out by now. Looks like I'm wrong. There seems to be a slight slow down in house sales here now. You're absolutely right about it being a frozen hell hole to. If I was financially able to I would snow bird out of here during the winters.

Stay out of Missoula. Taxes are outrageous.

Housing prices are ridiculously high. Earnings are not comparable to the high cost of living. It’s a very different Missoula than say 35 years ago.
