Missy Incessantly gets the short end of the stick when it comes to which of the twins get the bulk of loving attention frm the parents. When she speaks up, they either send her to her room, or snap at her: not now Missy! But Sheldon comes along w/ the boo-boo wah!! And he gets a hug. Missy being fully of indignation, packs up n steals the truck.

Honestly, both the twins are treated like a shoo fly type of way.. Mary and George have even admitted sheldon gets on their nerves.. just like when they got back from Germany and Mary liked having breakfast without him. She also has gotten mad at him for voicing his own opinions about things. Once he hit a certain age Mary stopped paying much mind to him as well. She even seemed irritated at him often.

Paige and Shelfon really shows two sides of being genius. Paige makes Sheldon's lack of EQ a good thing. She never embraced her abilities like Sheldon did. When she earned for attention, he commanded it. Missy's rebilious phase took a even worse turn because of Paige and pastor's niece. Missy did ignore George and Mary when they tried to be for her, which in turn made them more ignorant towards her. That's viscous cycle!

Mary was focused on Sheldon, which made Missy indifferent towards her, when Mary tried it wasn't well received, while Mary should have tried harder, she just gave up! It's a vicious cycle with Mary and Missy, which started with Mary.

Also, to me it feels as if Mary treats Missy sharing personal stuff with her like a conquest at times. Because Mary only feels 'left out' when Missy and Meemaw are having a good time without her and Sheldon's not in sight. It doesn't feel like her wanting to talk stems from genuine concern for Missy.
