My parents took me to see Higgins live at Bangalow hall when I was about 13, c. 2004. I was only vaguely familiar with her at the time, but I spent the full show standing very uncomfortably on a chair to see over the crowd, and bought The Sound of White at the end. That CD got a lot of play time in our house, and this was always my favourite song on the album.

I found out about Missy Higgins just by being into this kind of music and it doesn't make me feel more "high and mighty". But all the people that post "Like if [...] brought you here." annoy me. So badly. I couldn't care less if a show, a movie, a radio-station, a friend or your incredible self brought you here. I do care about the music. So why can't people just comment on the music? No. The song was released in 2004. Look it up. I'm not entirely sure what makes you think it was first released in 2007 but I'm guessing because it says © 2007 WMG, so based on that I'm going to say this: just because it says "© 2007 WMG" it doesn't mean that was when it was released, it just means who and when was it copyrighted.
