Visually, I was so worried about the suicide imagery (Virginia Woolf, 'Walk in the Water' - Mary Gauthier), but I am relieved by the the video's resolution. I hope it really is more about 'taking the plunge', being brave to face what's out there, but I am feeling like a voyeur to human tragedy. Not sure what it is about Missy that takes me to these place, but there you go. Beautiful, wonderful song, thanks for reconnecting with the music within Miss Missy and coming back to us.

I think anyone who's had to play the role, wear a mask to do whatever it is they do... even if it's just to get by and not be mistaken for anything other than human can relate to this song. How to get lost in the method, in the madness of the day to day, in what people expect someone to be regardless of who that someone really is... Every time I listen to this, it's like rolling over against the wall when awakened against my will; finding comfort in the anonymity of the dark, the warmth of the forthcoming dream.
