This song resonates with me right now...I need to take it on as an anthem for moving forward in my life... I just pray I'm brave enough. At least I know I'm not alone.

Words fall way too short of describing how much your music has impacted my life for the past 20 years. Been to well over 50 of your shows, met best friends for life through fan forums and gigs, discovered my sexuality, taught myself how to play guitar by playing your songs and just have had a blast supporting your music. And now I get to hear my kids in the back seat of the car singing your songs.

That's extremely sweet, my kids are older now and we still sing along to her songs. It's a gift that I am very grateful for. This album is stunning too, extremely perosnal.

I’ve loved your voice and music since the first time I heard it. Even caught your performance at the Virgin Megastore in London back in 2005 as I was over there that week. Was told off by “security” as I videoed you playing The Special Two with my then new digital camera. Looking forward to your shows in a few weeks, even though your songs always hit hard with me. That’s because life and love is hard, and you express that so well.

This song is so sad and so beautiful. I saw missy Higgins live singing this and it was just electric. The sound of acceptance, hope and stepping back into the light.

One of the few Australian singers who sings with a pure Australian accent. Carry You with Tim Minchin was probably my most played track over the past year couple of years. This may well be the same for the next couple. Bravo!

What a stunning melody and lyric…I met you once, you were as humble and honest as this song. Thankyou for continuously telling the story of my life. It’s so very cathartic. You are such a gift to the planet. Time moves fast. Society seems to move faster and you are a lifeboat to so many.

Wow- with these beautifully gut wrenching and honest songs and videos (this and “You should run”) I’m really starting to wish for an actual Missy Higgins musical. She really is incredible at capturing the emotion of these difficult experiences.

My interpretation of this song really moved me. Anyone who has “failed” at marriage knows the pain of everything that comes with divorce. This song is very brutally beautiful. Missy you are a powerhouse lyricist with such an emotive voice.

I think you're the best Aussie born singer,,ever. You're also a great person and someone young people can look up to. Being a mum agrees with you, because I believe you're more beautiful now than when you were a young lady working hard to get ahead in the tough world of music, great song, best wishes, see you when you're in Perth.

This song is beautiful! I can hear some Patty Griffin in here, it's lovely (apologies if she's not an influence). Only constructive feedback -- if you film a video in 2:35:1, upload it that way. Let the displays work it out. I have an ultrawide and it's so annoying to have black bars in both directions, because it defies the ambition in embracing that format in the first place. For my part, I have uploaded in that format and found that each display navigates it well enough, either filling the screen if it has the pixels or creating the bars if it doesn't. You gain nothing by adding the black bars yourself.

This is beautiful. I think I saw you once apon a time at cherry bar? Lol. Your whole family was sitting at the table in front of me wearing tank tops with your photo ironed on them. You hadn't worked out how to play guitar standing up yet lol, it was cute. Take your third and fourth. Take all the time you need. You did honestly inspire a generation of people like me and I'm glad you're still around. Intermission is just a chance for people to pee 😅
