This song reminds me of my ex Fiancé. We met young and spent 9 years together. We were each other's first adult relationship from 19 to 28. That whole "I don't know who I am without you" is real deal heartbreaking stuff. It took me a solid year and a half to be ok after that split. Didn't know what I even liked to do without her in my life. They don't make good music like this in 2020.

@Cassadinegirlaz I think it works either way. It could be about a mother giving up a child for adoption, the lyrics fit that. "Because she will love you more than I could, she who dares to stand where I stood." That could be about letting go of the love you have for a child, and accepting that someone else will love it more, or it could be about letting go of a romantic love, and learning to accept that someone else is better for them. So I think it could go either way. :)
