How are you now? Hopefully your pain has diminished and changed over time and you've found happiness again.
@Zsword925 жыл бұрын
I'm so sorry Trish. I hope you can eventually find contentment with the tragedy that has happened and can be at peace with the situation in the wake of your partner's passing. Reckless drivers are very selfish and may or may not fully understand the risks they pose to other people, hence why they get behind the wheel. If they have a conscience they will be living with the guilt for the rest of their lives. Life can be so cruel and unfair at times but we have to make the most of our time here and live the best life we can even in the face of huge adversity. Regards Nathan

I've always loved the song! I do have a tenuous connection to the video, it was filmed in a house next door to a friend. We all remember sitting there watching what was going on, thinking who is this? Then the guy who owned the house, turns up and says it a Missy Higgins video. Not surprising considering he was a music promoter/ agent, although I don't think he was Missy agent? When this was been filmed , we were all next door having a BBQ. At one point we were making to much noise, told to sssh!😉 We had heard of Missy before, just coming on to the scene. But most of us didn't give the day much thought. I think it was about a month later I heard the song, few days later saw this video and went , OH wow! Love it till this day.

+Andrew Semple A few reasons: (1) She's Australian and it's very difficult for non-Americans to achieve global star status in the music world (2) She's not selling anything overtly sexual or based on physical appearance and that's also generally not rewarded commercially in the mainstream music industry (3) She's not obsessed with social media which these days is a disadvantage if you want to achieve major fame

+El Australiano It's incredibly sad, not only for her, but the video was made so well, how the day turns to night so fast, that says so much about depression, I couldn't tell if she was acting or legitimately despressed. Never have I seen heartbreak expressed so well in a music video.

This song resonates with me, gives me hope that me and my girl can work things out, it had a different reason for her at the start, due to unforseen circumstances, but now it resonates to me for a reason of how we became, especially the lyrics, "I was comfortable and warm inside my shell And couldn't see this place could soon become my hell". and i know weve been through alot with mistrust on both ends but this part "I know, I'm not deserving of your trust from you right now But if by chance you change your mind You know I will not let you down 'Cause we were the special two and will be again". is my hope, my friend, my lover my 1 and only. Its important to have those memories whether of the past, or of the people we once knew. They are a small piece of us. The sadness of letting go, wondering how life would have turned out, of course it stings.... Your soul learns to grow stronger, & changes into a better version of ourselves. You eventually find your "tribe"- where things make sense, are more effortless, and good times last. Be forgiving, people come & go in life... the good ones always stay! Music is a healing, & a source of comfort. Even if it opens up old wounds from time to time. ❤

I've hardly been outside my room in days 'Cause I don't feel that I deserve the sunshine's rays The darkness helped until the whiskey wore away And it was then I realize the conscience never fades When you're young you have this image of your life That you'll be scrupulous and one day even make a wife And you make boundaries you'd never dream to cross And if you happen to you wake completely lost But I will fight for you, be sure that I will fight Until we're the special two once again And we will only need each other, we'll bleed together Our hands would not be taught to hold another's 'Cause we're the special two And we can only see each other, we'll breathe together These arms will not be taught to need another's 'Cause we're the special two I remember someone old once said to me That lies will lock you up with truth the only key I was comfortable and warm inside my shell And couldn't see this place could soon become my hell So is it better to tell and hurt or lie to save their face? Well, my guess the answer is don't do it in the first place I know, I'm not deserving of your trust from you right now But if by chance you change your mind You know I will not let you down 'Cause we were the special two and will be again And we will only need each other, we'll bleed together Our hands would not be taught to hold another's 'Cause we're the special two And we can only see each other, we'll breathe together These arms will not be taught to need another's We're the special two I step outside my mind's eyes for a minute And I look over me like a doctor looking for disease Or something that could ease the pain But nothing cures the hurt, you, you bring on boy yourself Just remembering, just remembering how we were And we would only need each other, we'd bleed together These hands would not be taught to hold another's We were the special two And we could only see each other, we'd bleed together These arms would not be taught to need another's 'Cause we're the special two

Oh shit... When a song hits you in the feelz years after you thought you might have forgotten. Yep, it took a while for the "whiskey" to ware away... after almost a decade of sobriety - I picked up. I ruined the most beautiful relationship with the most amazing girl I had ever known. My Another was the booze. Despite the love we had for one another my disease ruined everything. I fought but I lost - I pushed her away. She was not old but much younger than me and she helped me see the Truth of it all. My addiction meant that we could never be the special two. I am sober now - but I have not since known a love like that which i had for her. Just remembering :'I

It's daylight at the start and we can see cars out the front going by, at the end it's night time so there must have been some cuts or special morph effects to join the shots together. Though words fail me Missy, my soul offers you thunderous cheers! I am so glad you came back to your music, and this song blew my mind when you first released it. Thank you for the inspiration and looking forward to what you do next!
