@@Viper1392000 Am i missing something i found a bow, it uses hunting arrows.. i have 4 of them and i cant even draw it....do i need a bow quiver before the game lets me even draw an arrow or how does it work ? The bow does not miss its string, at least the bow icon shows a string.. but when i hold the bow it doesn't show a string... do i miss the string then ....??? The game has many things that yes give it realism but some of it is not explained or vagulay you have to guess it yourself. Also i went to the factory place on the map and its empty... there is not a single item there just the base structure, the rooms are empty etc.... and you played this 2 years ago is it still like that or i need to download something more to make the game have those places with item some DLC ??? a separate patch that i have to download manually?? I am used that games start updates automatically. or ask if you want it. I got the game from steam ...it said early access...is this the right game version i have???

@@tanelviil9149 ok first off the bow, you have to have a quiver, you put the arrows in the quiver and you have to equip the quiver for you to use the bow, you don't need to worry about the string not showing up, its just what it is, in this video I go over how I aim the bow using the hand as an aim point. About the game version, the developer rolled out an update last Oct or something, version 0.5 I think and it was a mess and he completely changed the map and other things, I played it for 3 hours streaming and have not played it since. The dev since put the new version under the beta testing so now if you want to play it you have to go into settings under steam and change it to the beta version. The new version added many things but I really stopped playing it when it came he changed everything. Instead of fixing the current game he changes the map adds more broken mechanics. The version that I have done videos on Mist is up to date with the version you are playing and when you change to the beta version I really don't know what will be relevant anymore. I really don't know what game mechanics were changed in the new version. May try it out at some point but haven't gotten around to it.

@@Viper1392000 oh ok thanks....sad when people who develop survival games not continue finishing them passionately or dont make them better. I like those types of games but they all have really bad enemy AI ... the movement is wierd, the zombies all look the same.... etc. Also the bugs. Why is it so hard to make a game that looks like REsident Evil 2 remake but is an actual survival horror in the sense like this game where you need to get food , water all kinds of items, then you start to build , get armor, get a vehicle and so on .

@@tanelviil9149 waiting on the forest 2 to come out, hopefully this year, the dev for Mist has some good ideas but he is slow and inconsistent with updates and giving out info if you like survival type games the Forest is a good game only complaint i have with the forest is the stupid worm monster thing, but overall one of my favorite survival games. If you want to check it out a guy named Farket has some really good information videos on it.

Great longbow video! Thanks for explaining how you aim. Now that I know I'm going to consciously try that and see if I was getting the same aim point the way I do it which is quite unscientifically.

Imagine people use different cues on how they aim with the bow, imagine if i drew a dot in the center of my screen it would most likely line up with that, had one of those aim spots you could put on your screen but was annoying and no clue if I still have it somewhere.

cool vid mate , i only thing i don't like is losing arrows when you shoot a bear, and it falls down with the arrows under the body, since you can not move the bears body to get them back. but still better than using gun ammo.

Thanks, I feel the same I normally just poke the bears to death, I may waste one basic arrow to get the bears attention, I would probable use my bow on bears if you could get back all the arrows.

Thank you so much for this! My aim sucks right now and it's hard to see if I'm too high, too low, or too far in one direction or the other. I've seen from watching videos that people aim a little bit to the right, so I'm getting better with that. The dummy will help a lot. It's a really good idea to place it on the back wall of the house so you can easily find arrows. Time to go practice! Thank you again!

hope it helps, once you get the aim down the longbow with hunting arrows is a very good weapon against bandits

Thanks hope it helps with aiming, with just a little bit of practice you will be owning those bandits. Gaming has allot of great videos, I like their calm gameplay. The starting vehicle series is great from any spawn point for new players.

Id do it first, as Viper said right at the begining of a save. Its so great, i couldnt imagine playing without it. As you can see in the video once you start shooting they know where yo are and it gets pretty hard cause you are dead easily. I mean its not that hard with smaller camps but this is kinda engdame camp lol. So yeah, make a bow. Cheers

Thankyou for the tutorial Viper. I have the tactical quiver equipped (with all 3slots containing basic wooden arrows - selected via R). I aim with the right mouse key, but when I press the left mouse key it doesn't shoot. Any advice? Cheers

Takes practice and using that imaginary line when your aiming at 14:05 in the video. Have many hours in game you will get good in it as well once you use it more.

very good explanation, I like how you explain yourself in your videos, I always understand everything and I'm Latino, but I have a little problem with arrows ... they cross walls and enemies, for example your test zone I have the dummy right there , but the arrows do not touch the dummy they remain inside the house I have looked for help but I have not found it, do you have any ideas? (I have a bad pc and I always play at the minimum talking about graphics and im playing the last version this problem i had in all versions :c )

just checked in my game and the only ones I could get to go inside the house was the ones that went thru the window with the boards on it, I tried with my settings all on Low but didn't have any problems. Never ran into this issue before and only thing I can suggest is verify integrity of game files by right clicking Mist Survival in Library hitting tab LOCAL FILES and then VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES, not sure if this would work or not, could just be your pc I really don't have a clue besides that, the game effects people differently with their PC setups and out of ideas, you could put it on Steam Discussions in Bug Help and if anyone has run into the issue and found a fix may be able to help, just put as much info as possible about issue on steam if you do

can you take over bandit camps like the one at the beginning it has tower and white house or was that your spot?

I built a base in 2 of the bandit camps in my season 3 playthru one in the small camp by motel and then the large bandit camp, just have to be careful how you set up a base since the bandits will respawn eventually and be attracted to your base when its active

I have a long bow and hunting arrows and I need more than one arrow on many occasions. With infected I’ve needed up to four hunting arrows using my long bow

the 1 shot with longbow and hunting arrows only works on bandits, infected its better to use basic arrows. Its something coded into the combination and even goes over it in part of the tutorial.

You just make a new one, a bow usually lasts me for a while, I will end up making a spare for when it gets low on durability, cheaper to make a new one than repairing it in repairbench.

Jealous of so much sniper ammo. Can't find ammo for nothing. Bandits keep dropping food and broken firearms.

If I really want to get allot of ammo I will set up a bandit farm in the city, kill the group save/quit/continue till I get tired of farming them, here is my setup at 2:00 in the following vid I go over my farm setup kzbin.info/www/bejne/ona5g4Wng9yheqM, I do mine sometimes but that can get tedious at times
