I watched your other vid awhile back on seed locations and I did find the box , I even saved before opening it and preyed to the mist gods that it would turn into a tomatoe seed on the rng , but still no tomatoes , I’m so jealous , next thing I’m gonna test is killing 1000 bandits and seeing if I get a seed , keep up the good work and holy shit that field musta drove you nuts watering !!!!

What do mean grows better, they don't effect growth time in my game I tested the growth rate with them spaced and I am getting same rate in long rows, are you talking about them glitching where you can't replant, I have had problems with the white house effecting growth rate but not away from the house. The white house seems to be haunted many things glitch out around it.

Game bugs seem to affect people differently, I do not have near as many of the bugs as people post in forums, I did do a fresh restart after the latest update in order to make vids on where stuff was, that may be keeping me from having as many issues, not sure. I was experiencing horrible grow times when farming first came out around white house like 2-3 weeks to grow fully, but by the time I made my first growing vids my problems were gone around the lake so attributed it to white house but could have been the game. Will add something to the description just in case. Pretty sure I saw a similar comment somewhere else about keeping a space in rows.

Viper1392000 I have 2 bugged spots near the lake made those recently , no furrows near the house but about 50 ft away behind it with no bugs ...those were my first ones , if you see my farming vid I got a very different watering method and they all grew almost the same rate

@@duhgoblinggaming2654 The problem most likely is the way some plants leach water from adjacent plants, at least thats what I assume, never really noticed until I was making my 600 plant corn field and testing exactly how much water is needed. Normally I would water daily getting it complete dark muddy color, but if you put the minimum amount of water it really screws up turns out its 5L of water per corn plant per day to fully grow corn in 8 days, grows fine with 3L or 4L but adds days to grow time. But with the leaches it really screws things up. So if you plan on using nice straight rows not separated water fully every day or suffer the madness of having to fix it.

@@Viper1392000 great analysis, ya they do leech hard, but i've also noticed it's the angle and "side you water them on... you gave the advice to crouch at some point so i did that and i was always to the "left of the seed" "ass pointed east water pointed west so the plant would be north of the water flow" THAT always seems to keep the water on the plot and prevents the leech... if i do it from the other side. and point the other way.... it leeches hard. WIERD things i notice lol

Was hoping on getting the update to make more videos, but not looking like we will be getting much content when 0.3.10 comes out shortly. Not until after we get 0.4 will we get a decent content dump and no clue when that will happen. This from sifting thru discord, steam, twitter and facebook. So nothing I have found is set in stone and subject to change. I will work on finishing up my season 2 series making sure I went over everthing in game so far.

Great video but I must have done something wrong. I made the planting spot, put in seed and then tried to water it. After several watering cans full, the soil never turned dark. What did I do wrong? Should I have watered first then planted the seed? Do I only need to water once? Appreciate any help. This beta version is like two games in one. The one survival game and the puzzles to find workarounds for the bugs. Anyway, I am enjoying the beta and your videos are of a great help.

How do you get no framedrops when pouring water out of the watering can? My FPS always drops from 60-63 to 14-16 when watering plants.

Thanks for the unexpected quick response and the video. I tried saving and exiting and validating files but it doesn't seems to work. Lowering all graphics settings only adds about 2 FPS max when watering. No frame drops anywhere else, only when using the watering can for some reason.

@@philip9830 so many crazy bugs lately since the new update, haven't tried growing crops this update, people are having all kinds of strange bugs with the game, sometimes you get fps drops for all kinds of reasons if its only happening when you use watering can I don't know of a solution besides trying to restart game

trees are supposed to respawn if you leave the stump not sure how long it is, so many trees I rarely leave the stumps. Only thing you can plant right now is corn and tomatoes.

Corn can only be planted in the crop furrows, tomatoes can be grown in any of the planters. The crop furrows are what the corn is planted at the very beginning of video.

I just use tomatoes as decoration, you could survive off eating 1-2 tomato plants per day since you really don't need to eat that much to survive in the game. The dev needs to add some recipes to make it worth while since there are easier methods to get food. I did a vegan challenge and figured out I was eating way too much food. @@Viper1392000 ye i watched it, interesting and funny challenge. but in the end its not challenging, there is almost no penalty for being hungry as u showed. i hope they make this game harder and fix useless things like chicken coops (i really like farming and stuff, but this has no sense),tomatoes,fridges etc. i luv this game, but i will make a longer break again and hope for more major updates, thx for the vids u made, helped me a lot! cheers

@@MeisterWind I bought the game at release but I couldn't bring myself to play it till 0.3 came out, if I didn't do these challenges and base tours no way I could still play it, I love the game but kinda only good for 20 so hours once every few updates. We are supposed to get a good content dump when 0.4 comes out but will have to see it to believe it coming end of April-May, but don't know how this virus may have affected time table.

there are 4 or 5 seed locations depending on how old your save is, they put in a box in the beserker room but then took it out at a later patch so that one my not be in your game. 2 are in bandit camps, 1 in the city and a chance for seeds in the military camp in suburbs. Update with a new area is supposed to come out May 20th and maybe the dev will have added a new seed drop or some plants to harvest no idea for sure if that will be the case or not

6 minutes to cook 4 corn. . . about 20 percent hunger bar for 4 corn 4 firewood = 2 hours . . . so you could cook 60 corn . . . so that would fill up the hunger bar 3 times. 5 liters of water per day per plant, 1 plant has 6 corn, 8 days for full growth, so . . . 30 corn plants could sustain forever.

You don't have to keep your hunger bar full, just eating 1 corn plants worth per day is enough to sustain yourself, just eat at night before you go to sleep to regain what little health you lose during the day. Hey man, i am really struggling with this game, eventhough i love the dense and VERY WELL made atmosphere! Especially the textues in the forrest look very natural! I finde the opponents are very OP and what's very frustrating to me, is the fact that killing a bunch of people while really risking my life, isn't rewarding at all, in terms of loot! Even more frustrating was, that people i just recently killed and took my time with, just disappeared and i couldn't loot them. Still they don't carry weapons most of the time anyway.......what a blast!!^^ Amunition is also very hardly found, which makes it even harder! What am i doing wrong? Do you have a good introduktion-video on how i get the supplies and especially weapons and ammunition to get going? Well i manage to survive by cleaning water and what not, but overcomming enemies is hard!

The bandits can be a pain at first using firearms is pretty much a last resort for me, the bow makes things much easier once you learn how to use it, and its OP in Mist. I just made a playlist of useful videos for new players.
