Tell you what about Paris: as someone growing up in the 2000's who really disliked her, i'm actually happy for her now. She has this documentary on you tube about her life that is very insightful, in it she basically talks about how she's been through a bunch of different types of abuse and that distorted her self image and self esteem to a point where she would cling to any shred of attention she could. And it's kind of telling that right now, at a point where she is not anywhere near as famous, she is at the happiest moment of her life, with her husband and child. She squeezed every penny from her 2000's chaotic life and went away to build a more private, personal and healthy life to herself, and GOOD FOR HER.

Whenever I went to blockbuster video as a kid, I used to make a beeline for the horror aisle to scare myself and House of Wax is one of the movies there I vividly remember. Something about its cover / poster really unsettled me. Hats off to whatever underpaid graphic designer made this movie look way scarier than it actually is

I love House of Wax so much. I grew up watching this movie, and it introduced me to many of my favourite bands via the amazing soundtrack (Deftones, Interpol, MCR) The scene at the end where they reveal there’s a third brother is only really significant in that it shows all of them worked together to lure people there to turn into wax figures. None of it was by chance, the brothers had orchestrated every aspect. Which I feel makes the whole movie a lil creepier as a whole. Thanks for talking about this horror classic 🤠

When I was younger there was a massive ad for this movie right outside my neighbourhood and for a solid year or so, every time my family drove home I would shove my head into the car seat like an ostrich to hide from it I've never actually seen the movie but am still very much terrified of it

What a blast from the past ! This movie is one of those corny movies you know isnt necessarily "good" but it's a nostalgic thing for me personally and I like it for that. I remember renting this movie for sleepovers or nights when I'd want to have a solo scary movie night when I was just really starting to be into scary movies and this movie along with the ring and the final destination movies will always have a soft spot for me 😂

I feel like this was everyone's first horror movie in a certain age range because it was extremely tame and had a lot of recognizable actors. There was no explicit material, no gore, and it just wasn't very disturbing. I feel like it was also rated PG-13 so kids could see it in theaters without their parents and widened its younger audience. I was older when it came out and it felt like a kid's movie to me because I already was a seasoned fan of horror genre. I went to see it with my friends who didn't like scary movies because of the advertising campaign, and we found it enjoyable because it was funny. The ankle stabbings were the best; the bad guy's hellhound definitely would have been a chihuahua. 😂
