As a kid I liked drawing realism because it easily impressed people. Then I tried drawing cartoons or anime without thinking about the design, and the results were horrible. I had an existential crisis because I couldn't draw something so darn simple. It took another six years of practice and effort to finally get it all right. Art style is careful, consistent, and intentional distortion.

It's hard to explain, but the most i can say js the angle of the top is fixed to match the legs when the body parts are allowed to overlap each other more, because they do overlap at that angle, for example the belly skin overlaps a bit more over the leggings band, the bottom of the belly thats covered by the leggings band overlaps the crotch so that it's no longer visible, the boob that's closest to the viewer overlaps over the ribs more, the original one looks more stiff and straight and the final one does not, it's easier to tell what the pose is
@jayden92873 ай бұрын
The crotch is well defined instead of being barely seen so the first image looks like a dwarf instead of a person in perspective

Id prefer an alternative, because boxes are a cluttered mess and make it hard to follow for people like me. I personally draw one big perspective box, and use dotted guidelines across planes of your geometry to follow the planes of the box. Like, when you're making poses, make the dotted lines and see if it looks natural, just adjust until its right.

An easy fix is to look at real life for once This is mainly joking but no seriously. I learned all I know from looking at other designs(mainly for body shape inspiration), *and* just using my knowledge of how I see people or objects. The only "classes" I've had on art were in elementary and elective classes in 7th grade. They didn't teach me anything new especially because when I was younger I already knew "I can just see a stack of cubes and see the perspective angle." Not in those words, but I still mess up from astigmatism that's gone untreated for over a decade now:)
