As a junior in college, I can confirm all these tips are essential. Unfortunately with my luck, I got severely sick throughout my first semester and people formed friendships and groups without me as I was stuck in my dorm and hospital. I’ve been an introvert wannabe extrovert so being lonely isn’t new, but it feels so inhumane at college. Please be outgoing your first year, I promise you have the time if you put in the effort to. Personally, because my luck always gets me alone I decided to go crazy with classes so I can graduate a year early and study for my MCAT

My college started in late July this year and I got sick after 2 days of going to college. I'm a little introverted with wanting to be extroverted. Luckily I met some people and kinda became friends with them, I'm grateful that I didn't just lock myself in my room. I'm currently sick now with 2 days of not going to college. Wish me luck with a speedy recovery. Also the advice given in the video is the same as my older sister gave me. Glad I listened to her and went out and found some friends. I also want to give one more piece of advice 'don't get sick in the first week of college'

Nope, went to law school and graduate school all while still living at home with my parents. Only drastic changes for me were taking the bus there and back and buying supplies, including books, completely on my own. Oh and of course interning at law firms and taking all sorts of public transportations to several different places. But already in Middle school I had to wake up alone with the alarm clock or else I'd get punished, same goes for knowing when to study and when to sleep.

Choose your friends wisely ya'll I made a friend right before college and we were introduced by my friends from highschool we went to different highschools but we got closer before college and during the first semester. We would be messaging every single day and hanging out every other day and I thought we were good friends. Well apparently I just didn't have enough money to fit in with her. I burned through $800 just the first semester hanging out with her. I would do research to see what were good places to eat and visit, and I would even change up my whole plan just to be able to schedule time for her. After Winter break she completely ghosted me turns out she started hanging out with my roommate who's rich as fck, and all the places I introduced to her she started going with my roommate. Also also she gave me covid multiple times, but the worse one was right before my exams cause she slept over. It was 2am and I woke up to the two giggling (her and my roommate) and all and my roommate just asked if she could stay over. How are you supposed to stay no in that scenario. So I said yes threw down a squishmallow and spare blanket she could use. Boom the next morning both me and my roommate were sick. I thought I was very good at judging people because my friend group all knew me from early middle school, 2 from elementary, a few from middle, and a few from my first few years of highschool before I changed schools. She attended my old school and was introduced by a friend of my elementary school friend. Since we were going to the same college I thought we would be able to get along, but yeah I just don't think I was good enough for her. My advice dont be a follower it's gonna ruin both your money and your health. Stick up for yourself, don't back down cause you don't want to start an argument. Those kinds of people are willing to cut you out of their lives once you served your purpose.

I am kind of a nihility guy, like anything unnecessary is not important to me. That said, according to this video, I can do many things that can improve myself But man, all this time I am sticking to myself. Third-year at University and still no relationship outside of family & relatives. Beside, I don't go out for leisure activity like ever and I find it hard to strike up a conversation because I have no idea about the topic they like: gaming, football, etc. I mean, they are not my thing; not that passionate, anyway.
