@nightfalldust4 ай бұрын
I think they need to add something on the side of the screen where it shows you how long you spent and how many videos you watched. like, on regular KZbin, at least you have an idea of roughly how many videos you watched, and how long each one is. shorts, tiktok, etc you just get sucked in and lose track of time.
@Soliator4 ай бұрын
@@nightfalldustIn my opinion,that's just counter-intuitive really for the social medias' "brilliant" business strategy. By installing a way to deinfluence consumers from getting addicted to their product,their business would definitely fall into decline. Thus,it is highly likely they would not invent/implement this concept but it's just only a matter of time at this point.
@fahrenheitpg3d4072 ай бұрын
@@nightfalldust they wouldn't do that cause the point of their platforms is to get you addicted. like for example they are using many psychological tricks such as random intermittent reward, which is borrowed from principles of slot machines. honestly just delete tiktok because fuck that shit, i never downloaded it because i knew it would be an absolute waste of my time. its all bullshit, misinformation, and brain rot

I am totally understanding your argument and I think it’s really important to be intentional about one’s media consumption. I would just like to note here for all AP students, for example: if you’re using your phone for research it isn’t brain rot. like I can count how many times a day I pluck up my phone and google something, look up an analysis already written on the topic or other essays as a research basis or when my teacher uses a certain phrases I look up the entire meaning (online there is simply a much larger and also cheaper variety of media in contrast to books e.g.) If you are intentional about what you’re looking up and it’s educational or informative; you don’t have to ban it. I entirely understand that it’s difficult to draw the line between those two, but if you find it enjoyable to research about these things and that bit of fun time that you are allowing yourself is based on something academic or research related, then all the better because you’re gonna trick yourself into thinking: I like this. I actually am interested in this and I want to learn more😅😉

8:07 I'm not 100% sure, but I think it depends on where you are. For example, in the US, we say "the class WAS working", but in the UK, they might say "the class WERE working." So "the list of assignments IS due next week" could be correct because it's talking about the list (and list in this case is singular). But on the other hand, "the list of assignments ARE due next week" could be similar to the "the class were working" sentence type.

I think it is IS due next week because the sentence was „The LIST of assignments … next week.“. So because you are reffering to a list and not the assignments itself it should be singular.

@@Roman-Noodlez beep beep map? This is a picture from the teaser of fortnite chapter 2 season 7. That's like 3 years ago. I've had this pfp for 3 years now, it would feel weird to change it. You're in a reply section to a brainrot comment yet somehow still managed to disappoint. End it.

fun fact: I was the only person in y 9th grade math class who got straight As, but I was also the only one who couldn't figure out how to use a calculator...😅 My point is I ended up doing a lot of mental math and paper math and got really good at showing my work. Also 8:08, it's the second one because thats how English is... lol

Notes: •Try to pay attention longer. •While on social Media, constantly say no to brainrot, low-quality, and unfunny videos, and show lots of response to good videos (long-form content is best) •Leave phone out of time that isn't fully free •Hold yourself in high regard on the level of parents, teachers, and employers. •Learn things when bored rather than being on phone (Code, Learn a language, read, write, draw) •Don't use AI to answer questions. You can still use it for creative idea-creating purposes. •Rely more on self than other things. •Instead of pulling out phone in free time, you can just look around, meditate, stretch, drink water, etc. instead of going on your phone. •Eat healthy. (Omega 3 fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamins), like blueberries or fish. •Exercise keeps your brain healthy. If you are sad and bored, exercising is an amazing fix.
