I just finished my first university exams (hence the lack of uploads) and I made so many careless mistakes. Therefore, in this video we discuss exams tips such as how to prepare for questions, how to connect your ideas after studying, how to manage your time during exams, how to get the most marks and answer all questions, when to do past year papers and an underrated study tip at the end!

Actualy I was quite shocked when you said that you do the harder questions first. The method I swear by is doing the simpler ones first really fast, after skimming the paper so that I'm sure I'm already done with the majority of the questions in the first half of the exam. And then, I've got an hour or half depending on the duration of the exam to slowly think and tackle the harder ones.

I have a question: Wouldn't skimming through the whole paper make us feel overwhelmed now that we know what questions there are and what if our mind just kind of jumbles the answers to all of them? I have the same problem when it comes to skimming through the paper, so i always go through the questions one by one, and that keeps me relaxed the entire time. But Maybe it's because exams in my country (pakistan) are a lot different than other countries and I've realized most of the tips you've given in this video wouldn't work for an exam system like ours. i used to have this problem!! now that we have offline exams it's gotten a lot better for me.. during the first few minutes of the exam i just write down key points for answers that i already know on the question paper itself and then start writing those answers.. if i don't know the answer for any question then i leave space on the answer sheet to come back to later. this way, i get more time in the end to re-check my answers and i usually am a lot calmer at that time and that helps me remember answers that i may not have remembered during the exam!! hope this helps

im also from pakistan and i agree. i prefer solving the questions as they go because once i did skin through the paper and got stressed if i couldnt remember the answer of that question and ofcourse, could not focus on the current question

hmm... that's a good doubt! but i always firstly skim through the whole question paper and mark the questions with the most marks to write first ! i also note the main points that should be in the answer in the question paper with pencil while going through it. best of luck💗

Reading these marks made me realize our exam system is really different. Firstly we're not even allowed to write anything on our question paper. That could be considered a serious crime idk. And we solve our answers on a separate answer sheet. So we dont have to "leave space" for questions, we could just write it wherever. Then we've got the short questions first, they're only about 2 marks each , we have to solve 8, 8, and 6, short questions of each part. Then come the long questions which mark 5 marks each and we have to solve 6 of them. Idk if u can see this pattern but that's why skimming through the whole paper makes us overwhelmed because most questions mark the same.

My biggest mistake In exams and tests is not reading the question properly and not going over my answers. My teachers always told me to reread what i wrote and read the questions properly but I never really took that advice seriously. I’m an auditory learner so something that helps me a lot Is to read the question and my answer out loud and explain to myself why it makes sense. But like I don’t want to disturb anyone while taking the test so I just word it out so that there’s no way it’s audible to anyone but me. Doing this has helped me so much, even when studying and doing homework. I feel so much more productive and I feel like I’m actually learning something.

Hi Faye, your videos have helped me throughout 9th grade, your channel doesn't use basic tips and tricks that are on other channels, and they're very understandable. ilysm u give me motivation to study, i was on the verge of giving up but i saw u upload and i decided to do my very much late and uncompleted school works, also really excited for your next video upload cause my school quarter is ending and im starting fresh to my next grade in a couple of months and that means ill do online class again, tbh i didnt have motivation to attend my past online classes and it affected my ability to do my work so its always delayed when i pass it, tysm for your content faye❤️
