One thing that they leave out in the Nick spiral, is that Eric July wasn't the start of the drama farming...it was Camelot/Pippa. The only difference there is Pippa/Phase/the Vtuber community had the sense to ignore them and not feed them drama, and it quickly ended that situation. What makes the Eric July situation bad and what allowed Eric to feed them drama was that Nick had basically snaked on him and Eric was trying to figure out what he was being fucked with by Nick. Once it was clear Rackets was acting in bad faith Eric finally stopped engaging, but in the process Nick has alienated himself from his former colleagues. And he has also torched his internet career. He's basically going to spiral like Spoony did, guaranteed.

If a minor expresses sexual thoughts to somebody who isn't their parent, they've been groomed. Here's my theory on why Eric July is hated (at least in regards to evs). Eric has produced a method to make product for the customer prior accepting their money and does pre-order campaigns instead of campaigns to fund products, which is the crowdfunding method evs/most CG uses. The crowdfunding method is paying for a product up front and waiting upon completion to receive it which most times results in late products, by a large margin sometimes, example Evs reignbow the burte is 3 years late. Eric has now produced a method that is fater and gets to you within a week of your payment. Because at some point evs started saying that EJ was attacking crowdfunding and stated that there is a lack of quality after promoting the book and saying it was good for the past year up until recently

Well, that's what crowdfunding is. You fund the project. What Eric is doing is just roundabout way of setting up an online storefront with a high score meter that everyone can see and cheer on. It's smart. It gives the audience a goal to hit to own the libs or whatever in order to ragebait purchases, but it's not really crowdfunding. He didn't devise some new method. It's just a store. The reason Eric has become a lolcow is because he can't take criticism. His comic sucks, and instead of ignoring the bad reviews or accepting them, he went off on a tantrum. It's internet 101. If you give people a reaction, they're going to keep going after you. Also, he threatens his "haters" and constantly says that you'd never pull up in real life and say that. And when someone did show up and taped a $20 bill to his warehouse window as an irl superchat prank, Eric threatened to shoot the guy. And the point about 3D assets isn't nothing. The book is cheaply made. You use 3D assets when you're pumping out artwork quickly and want to save time like some manga artist being paid peanuts for 40 pages a month, but Isom is a $3 Million book. That's insane for a comic book. Sure, he may have funded Isom #1 ahead of time, but Isom #2 has no excuse. That's like if the Channel Awesome movies had $50 Million budgets and still looked the same. It's ridiculous. There's plenty of info out there, but Warski and PPP don't care. They already picked Eric's side because they don't like Rekieta, so they're not going to bother looking into anything.

I remember Nick talking about how he was broke and worked hard to obtain his degree in his early 30s. At the time I was single and broke and getting my degree. He had the money and family I wanted. I stopped watching because I became busy. Now I am financially secured, have a wife and child and I check back and like… how do you blow that up. Alcoholics don’t eat much. I speak from experience in the past. Went through a terrible divorce.I lost a lot of weight. I still drink but not near as much and gained much of the weight back. I got down to 145 lbs whereas normally I’m around 180 lbs.

The biggest criticism of Eric July seems to be that he's thin skinned. He can't seem to take even minor critiques of his works, company, or himself. His comic book was average, if overpriced. His inability to ignore disagreement or people that don't like him is feeding the trolls.

The problem is none of that is damming. It's not alcoholism and degenerative behavior like rekieta or jack Murphy. Eric is not even 1% gunt. He not even as much as ebegger as dsp or boss man jack. Basically Eric is not even good cow material but daxipad and evs keep wanting to make it happen without any organic growth.

As an outsider looking in, that criticism of Eric is greatly over exaggerated. If he were anywhere near that bad, he'd be in constant drama with literally everyone. Instead it just seems to be Masterson & EVS with him almost totally ignoring both. The guy reacts just like any other business owner trying to sell a product, especially a product they have pride in. Every argument against Eric is weak or non-existent. Comic is "mid?" Ok? The vast majority of comics are "mid" with major comic publications raking in a lot more money than Eric. He's not writing or drawing Batman.

The entire reason that Dax ever went after Eric is because he wanted a publicity stunt to maximize attention. Eric isn't cow material, but the issue is too that he's not as terminally online as any Sektur member and doesn't understand the rules of the Internet, so he addresses each 'criticism" without realizing fully it is trolling. Now the first book may not be phenomenal or anything, second book improved, spin-offs are done by absolute legends. But if you come to any conclusion about Eric basically the black version of Robert Kirkman and Isom is early Invincible: his first comic is meh with writing that's very amateur feeling, but it improved significantly over time. And like early Invincible, you can't argue with the sales results.

I don’t like Rippa cos he can’t seem to take criticism and demands loyalty from everyone. Anyone who even slightly agrees with EVS gets ostracized and kicked off of everyone’s shows. EVS started off as a friend trying to help a newbie improve. But when Rippa sent EVS and presumably everyone else the night letter, that’s when EVS went full on against Rippa. And I agree with EVS there. Sending night letters and demanding loyalty over criticism on a comic book is insane and not a very nice thing to do.

People try and give him their honest opinions about his books and how he can improve in the future and he gets all pissy and yells about it on his show, then goes behind peoples back and try and get other creators cancelled from their circle of internet friends they stream with,He's flagged people, gotten peoples accounts taken down. so everyone just keeps doubling down on hating Eric July and it just keeps spiraling. and all of this could have been avoided if Eric just took the criticism, and moved on.
