Another brilliant video Nick, how long have they said it will be before the pitch is grown?, I am a LFC supporter, but really interested in the blue’s new stadium. I have watched from the beginning, when it was full of water, then filled with sand. You did an excellent job on our Anfield Road stand. This puts you into the history books as your record of Everton’s new home. Great work, with you till completion. 👌🏻

Thanks, Nick. Full credit and respect to you for your part in raising awareness and commitment to Zoe's Place. Some late-in-the-day PoI's: 1) @ 2:43 mins, for the OCD-challenged viewers, it's about time that they inserted the final 3 base plates to the end, last of the 13 Columnar Elm trees. 2) @ 2:45 mins, what is the work that's going on on the North Side of the Pump House? 3) @ 3:08 mins, we can see they're really progressing with the SE Corner of the plaza, with a new water-gulley between the end of the already-laid rails and the future periometer fence gate. The few remaining Heritage Rails to be inserted are stacked centrally at this time-stamp. 4) @ 3:09 mins, it perhaps just neds emphasising that the future South perimeter gate will not be for pedestrian access but for extraordinary access needs. LMuch longer-term it may become a regular access point after PEEL have completed the Nelson Dock develeopment. The same goes for the the very SW corner of the BMD site, seen @ 5:30 mins, where once the need for an open vehicular access point is no longer required, there will be another perimeter gate installed. 5) @ 4:50 mins, they're taking their time to install the final panels of the SW end of the Viewing Gallery. 6) @ 5:35 mins, it's noticeable how many of the spaces below the balustrades on both sides of the water channel, still require the fencing 'mesh' installed. 7) @ 5:45 mins, they've grouted the last section of granite setts on the NW end of the West Plaza. We've never spotted anyone in the floating platform located at the NE end of the Water Channel. In another video, I've seen it or a twin located at the SE end. Maybe it will be used for the installation of the Composite Decking and Capping Beam on the outside of the Lower Promenade. 8) @ 5:57 mins, I think it's about time they fitted the handrails up the double-width stairs on the West Terracing. 9) @ 7:02 mins, they've at long last installed the concrete protective jacket bases to the overhang support posts at the NW end. 10) @ 7:07 mins, still quite a mixture of black, white and grey posts to be painted. @ 7:16 mins, it loks as though at long last they've decided to paint the NW end post, judging by the protective covers laid around and under it. You'd have expected that completed before they laid the asphalt. 11) @ 10:53 mins, I remain curious as to what is gping on with the scaffolding under the Tier Overhang of the West Stand. At this time-stamp they're located in front of the movement joints at the extreme left and right of the shot. I suspect they're just making good the seals but it might just have something to do with the expected advertising boards. You can see similar structures on the concrete face of the Upper Tier of the North and East Stands and a simialr pair of lines in the back wall of the South Stand Lower Tier too. Worth a closer look? 12) There are a lot of contractors around the pitch-side.

Another great video, thank you @mrdrone! The Stadium is looking fabulous. I'm sure this has been answered before, but will access to the West side/car park go underneath the overhang of the north stand? This looks so tight! Especially with thousands of fans too.. They are currently using the access route beyond the first fence, but am I right that this is going back to United Utilities?
@DuncTheBlue1878Күн бұрын
Access to the exclusive western car park will be via the northern access route. It’s 5.5 metres wide as its narrowest point, so wide enough for vehicles. There’s only one set of turnstiles at the north side and that’s for the away fans in the north east (Turnstile 24). There won’t be any vehicles allowed (except emergency) in the hours before and after kick off. Yes, that land will be handed back to United Utilities.

Neil, the Players' Dressing Rooms are in the midst of the West Stand Ground floor, with the Away Team to the north of centre and the Home Team at the south of centre. You can see the player's tunnel and team dugouts in the West Stand similarly next to the pitch centre-line. Both Players'Coaches will access the site by the Tower Gate at the NE corner and drive under the North Stand overhang to the central wide tunnel of the West Terrace in good weather but will stop at the north end of the mezzanine, nose under, in poor weather

New owners say it is too small. They are wanting to increase the capacity. In short, amend the stadium before opening. Architect says cannot increase size. But the west stand can be extended backwards. It will give a lopsided look like Anfield.
@davidbadcock2225Күн бұрын
John: I'd say you've been had by journalists trying to increase clicks and readership. This ground would involve super-costs to expand in terms of the pitch bowl and attendance. The whole stadium has been designed and engineeered to be as one. You'd be having to reengineer from under the ground and remove the whole roof. What is MUCH more likely is that they could look at expanding the W or E STANDS (not the bowl) to increase hospitality and other event facilities. I don't doubt that TFG are keen to increase income generation with added facilities but increasing match attendance will be a very, very different financial risk/reward equation. The equation for the move from GP to BMD is that in attendance measures only, about 15k extra seats have cost about £800m, in seat capacity alone. It'll take about 15-20 years to get payback from the cost of this stadium as it is, never mind adding mind-boggling costs for disrupting and reengineering the whole stadium and completely ruin the image.
@johnburns4017Күн бұрын

@@johnburns4017 John, FM and Usmanov dreamt big even with the huge cashflow they had going back 5-8 years ago. However, tehy were sensible enough to do proper market research and 53k was a figure they reckoned they could deliver with the close-and-intimate priority brief which would offer the best profitabilityin payback for outlay. Only Covid and War in Ukraine shot those reward-risk ratios to smithereens and we can't balme FM for planning for something he couldn't have dreamt happening. None of us could. The financial **** we got into was really emphasised by the sudden £300k uplift and its repercussions. TFG are too smart to throw money at poor return investments. I do expect them to investigate how to increase the footfall and the footings of the assets on site as well as the opportunities nearby. Personally, I just don't see any attendance capacity uplift investments (I don't count the potential future legal constraints on safe standing in that) UNLESS, in all our dreams, EFC become so successful that the demand goes through the roof, metaphorically and therefore literally. i respect your opinions. Ben, the seats are planned to be all blue. There MAYBE some Illuminated Signage in the Windows as that's approved in the plans and there are plenty of Illuminated Signage locations allocated on the brisk facades, the barrel-cladding, portals etc. I respect your opinion re multi-cloured setas but to me, personally, I think they just are an eye-sore, as they always look like a terrible fit compromise and as if kids have been playing tetra. Besides which full attendance always obscures them. I never go to a match thinking that people obscuring the seat patterns kills it.
