I am at the 4th full career at 54 and loving it. Any thing you need to do "life long" sounds depressing.. In reality, doing the same job for ever is the nightmare. (My current field is GNSS and all the math that is involved like transformations between reference frames with 4D coordinates. Really satisfying to go down the rabbit hole... And I never was a math-person :-)

Loving the subject and loving learning are the same thing. How can you love a subject and not want to know more about it?

Sometimes there’s a point where the content of a subject just becomes too difficult to continue learning and be enjoyable
@Bean-cs6vm9 ай бұрын
@@LOLxUnique I disagree. At the point which it feels too difficult to carry on is where your problem solving skills develop the most by finding a way to solve harder questions using the information and skills you have already learnt.

easy, some people go through their whole life having stopped learning at a specific point while still having passion for subject (majority of teachers is a good example) some people love watching football/baseball, rugby etc. yet haven't played a single game since middle school some people collect movies and books without any thought of attempting of writing or filmmaking themselves some people collect records and buy high end audio gear without really knowing what even a musical note or a scale is etc.

@@Bean-cs6vm yes but the original point was loving to learn vs loving the subject. at some point it can be become difficult to love to learn without suffering through the complexity. only a few people love that process
