Repeat root means the last term has a square in it. x^0: -245 = -5 × 7² either 3 neg or 1 neg and 2 pos factors x^2: 9 is positive so 1 negative factor, 2 positive that sum to +9. 7+7-5=9 (x+7)(x+7)(x-5).

Pro tip: if P(x)=(x-r1)^2(x-r2), then P'(x)=0 => x= r1 V x= (r1+2r2)/3. If we substitute x=1, r1=-7, x=1; we get: 1=(-7+r2)/3 r2=5
