I came from SAT Math Practice. Can you further explain extremities? I don't understand how I would draw this from a given equation.

Extremities, also known as extrema, are the points where a function reaches its maximum or minimum value, either local or global. They usually are where there is also a stationary point, but stationary points and local extrema are not necessarily the same. Most of the time, a local extreme point implies a stationary point, unless there is a kink or a cusp, or an end of the interval that sets the extreme point instead. A stationary point could also be something other than an extrema, if it coincides with an inflection point.
