Mistletoe Magick || Mythology, magick and folklore || Yule Witchcraft #2

#2 in my winter series of Yule Witchcraft and this is my mistletoe magick video showing the mythology and folklore associated with mistletoe and how you can incorporate ‘old ways’ into modern times. I started researching mistletoe for my Yule video, but there was so much of interest in it, that I found it makes a wonderful video all by itself. I have struggled this year finding mistletoe to show you, so you will have to just look at a pictures rather than me holding the real thing. Not sure why - maybe we are quite witchy round these parts and everyone has picked it! Oh well…..

haha that is exactly how i was born in September. Both us siblings were storm born (me during worst hurricane we ever had&my sister during a freak blizzard that dumoed 3ft in less than 24hrs) at a completely different time of year. i think my mom wanted to switch it up after me but same end result. Our family has always been very traditional, superstittious and kind of stuck in our ways. i wouldnt say they are witches but more like medicine women, grandma had 9 siblings and they all are like that and we just keep it going in the younger generations. They grew up very poor with nothing and somehow all survived with their hollistic approach and odd superstitions (they wont call it a spell lol). The kind of stuff they do was if you had a wart they would cut an X in it, rub a dirty dish rag over it&tell you to hide it and tue wart would be gone every time. I love this channel and am very glad to have discovered it!

Girl you are on the same wave, me because I’ve been wanting to get mistletoe for years and I told myself this year I was going to get mistletoe. Surprised I am not easily able to find it, I live in the Midwest which is in Minneapolis Minnesota with trees 🌲 and nature all around me. it’s such an amazing shape of leaf and the texture of it and I just always wanted some and the plastic stuff is just not the best for magical working lol

I never thought to use the plastic stuff, I imagine you have to spend so much energy getting it imbued with actual mistletoe energy that it is not worth it.

@@GinnyMetheral It may be that. In the places where you can't just go out and pick it, the pandemic-related supply chain issues are probably to blame. I saw what was happening in the US, and in September I loaded up on supplies like various colors of "7 day" candles at my local Dollar Tree store. Their shelves were entirely bare of that type of candle from early October on. Just a few days ago they finally got restocked, but only with the white and Christian candles. They've also been out most of their little tins, tiny corked or lidded bottles, glass jars, and other items useful for witchy projects for the past several months. It's now taking at least twice as long for many US stores to get supplies as it did pre-pandemic. A lot of Christmas merchandise isn't expected to be in stock until January.

@@GinnyMetheral He has CLL leukemia and we want to keep him from having any other types of cancer. Along with diet changes, and other supplementation like high Vitamin D3, it is just apart of an anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory formula I have him on. Things like Dandelion, Turmeric, Milk Thistle, Red Clover, etc.It has been working in the sense that his numbers remain low and he has clean colonoscopies. As a witch and clinical herbalist I know that there are no magick pills but it helps to infuse magick into the therapies. ;)
