In what world was there 200% xp from heirlooms? As I recall, even if you had the 2 rings, the most you could get for bonus xp was like 65%. Still huge, but nowhere near 200%.

If you made alts early on, then upgraded the cloak on your main a significant amount, you need to unequip your cloak on your alt then equip it again to update the bonuses on your alts

doesn't seem to work if you swapped mains (or maybe it just hates me). i'll try again when my priest is 70 probably, but she's got a way better cloak than my mage (unlocked the VI-X achievements, while my mage unlocked the first batch) but unequipping didn't do anything.

I disagree that the higher cloak people will help the lower ones. Instead I foresee it leading to even more insular communities, where even at normal you cannot get a invite if you don't have bonkers stats.

Scaling at 70 is completely broken atm, i don't feel like farming bronze to upgrade green gear and that's all i'm getting from LFR, i'm doing way less damage than someone lower level and get one shot if i get hit by anything. Meanwhile i did hc dungeons with friends at level 20 and feel the power difference. My low level is more powerful than my level 70 and it's getting blues left and right while leveling. And the worst part is the radio silence from the Blizzard team about what will happen, are they going to ignore feedback yet again or is there a fix on the way? Been keeping an eye on the blue tracker and nothing since before the weekend. Not even a quick post saying they are aware of issues and will need some time to iron it out.

@@anthonyg1307 they were able to find time to nerf the frogs, buff bronze caches by 25percent and added xp threads to LFR. They could have easily looked at the scaling, honestly that should have been done before any of those three. I have a warrior at lvl61 now and I'm having to face the fact that in an hour or two this character will be broken and not in the fun kind of way.

I understand they might need time to fix things, but atleast communicate with us what is happening. I still don't see any blue post about the frog nerf or the bronze caches. Stealth fixes that aren't communicated.

the fact that you hit such a huge wall at 70, when that should be when you feel most powerful, is proof that the scaling is reallyyyy broken at the max level, or at the lower levels

Here's my feedback: I really wanted to completely love this event and although I'm enjoying aspects of it, I wanted it to be a bit 'crazier' than it is. 1) Pet classes are a little screwed. At least my beastmaster hunter never was able to kill things in quite the way others were since it seems the gem effects don't proc off pets. I leveled my hunter to 70 and found I was struggling more than my Rogue. 2) They need to up the spawn on the Rares. Getting the achievements for the Rare kills is very difficult in some zones. 3) There is an issue where the cloak on your alt is fixed at the percentage XP gain when it's created. I leveled a Hunter to 70 and created two alts. I have multiple logins and the achievements are account wide but when I created a character on my Wow1 and then another on Wow2, they had different XP bonuses. One was at 54%% and the other was at 100%. I created the first character before I had gotten the Final Threads Achievement Infinite Power XII and the second character was after I got the Achievement on my Hunter. I unequipped and reequiped the cloak and the bonus changed to 100%. 4) I'm very disappointed that leveling through questing doesn't give better gear. This was touted as an event for those players who like to PVE and that means questing as much as dungeon/raids. 5) The leveling for the most part isn't really faster/better than when I level with Heirlooms, Bonus XP and Rested XP.

I feel like their biggest mistake was making bronze the currency for max level progression as well as needing 2 million to buy all cosmetics. Now its like everyone wants to use the bronze to buy limited time cosmetics but you also need to spend a lot of bronze to actually be functional at max level and thats a problem

My biggest critique is the lack of clear communication from blizzard about the cloak and how it works. The event has been fun but it feels like certain things were oversold.

No it wasn't. Nobody at blizzard ever said that. That came from wowhead and creators posting videos. They said alts would start with more threads based on your highest level cloak - that's exactly what happens.

Once you get achievement Infinite Power XII your new alts will start with 100% experience and a large amount of stam on cloak. It will go up as you level.

You literally start at 100% XP and then u can run normal + LFR each day and reach ++250% EASILY (12% XP BUFF PER NORMAL BOSS & 7% XP BUFF PER LFR WING) stop complaining

They have to address high-level scaling and improve the cloak for alts immediately. Additionally, they should consider applying the XP bonus to Bronze as well.

100% agree with the bronze catchup mech but the exp is fine. It carries over a 100% buff which gets you to 25 in less than an hour. Then you do the raids on normal when you hit that level req and boom, lvl 70 in a few hours. Doesn't even take the full day.

Its nothing like what was advertised. The cloak is not shared a crossed characters and is capped on xp for alts. The gameplay is the same as live realms. All the cog effects are just like trinket procs. When they happen, mobs die but when they don’t they take an age to kill due to the terrible scaling.

Yup i expected an evergrowing cloak as a kind of account buff across all characters. Making each alt level faster and do more damage while buffing the 70s as well. I'd even planned for 5 character to level before i started farming..Figuring the 5 70s would gurantee enough stats to gurantee some great farming time/no issues. As is..I'll level one probably slog through some stuff to try and at least be able to do SoO as all i really want are the garrosh heirlooms now.

I dont mind the tinker procs. We get a ton of slots so it feels like _at least_ one is proccing every few seconds. The scaling at 70, however, is the exact opposite of the overpowered experience they’ve been advertising…

After level 65 things does scale a little out of control. They need tweaking on a lot of things for sure. I did a dungeons where I was spam healing the tank since his life was bouncing from 100% down to 10%

How do you get Chen's Hat? Per the Wowhead article it says to complete 1 of the 3 things. I completed the campaign and do not see it anywhere. Anyone have any info? Love you long time. I'm loving the Remix so far, pretty darn fun. Did a tank first, now working on a dps. My biggest issue with Remix and it's small is the huge change between the main character and the alts Cloak. 120% xp down to 19% ... really.

3:52 I feel the same way, I'm in the process of leveling a new character and while it is moving it feels clunky. Should be fluid across questing, dungeons, and raids. I assumed that we were going get speedy buffs to level fast while enjoying WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria. It is still fun, but I feel, it could use some tuning. Also, getting bronze feels like a chore more then something that comes naturally. I wish they would increase the amount of bronze we get or lower the required amount for sets and mounts and toys. You look at how bronze is needed for a specific mount for example, and you almost feel defeated before you even start. Overall experience has been fun - I hope they take the feedback genuine and do some tuning.

I have done 2 timerunners to lvl 70( yes im nuts , but in my defence im away for 2 weeks so rushed these two), my first has 133% exp buff on cloak, my second when he got to lvl 60 seems to have capped at 200% , I thought this experience buff was going higher. Or did they change something?

I'm lvl 30 after 5 hours. Jade forest is not fun to level imo plus leveling isn't faster than going for timewalking dungs leveling on retail. I don't like it right now but still gonna play because of mounts. Advertising this with words like "Overpowered?" Literally on battle net launcher? I don't see it

Just about to ding 70 this evening, and I've been enjoying it. Not stressing the raids or a lot of the gear, but my focus is more mount oriented, and I'm at about 38,500 bronze at the moment. I have only been doing quests though with a couple scenarios and one dungeon, so i'm not doing all I can right now and that's fine. I'm enjoying it though, and at the end of this I don't get everything, no stressing it. I am however hoping more is done about the cloak on alts because I was looking forward to the boost in leveling, but I've also seen some people mention it is working on some of their alts after getting certain achievs, so we'll see when/if I get there. :D Having fun and that's all I really care about if I'm honest.

I pretty much went into this for just the transmogs/mounts/toys/pets, so just working with what gear drops happen has been working fine for me. I'm not planning on doing any group stuff because with my work schedule, I'm often on when most others aren't on my server so grouping's tends to be an issue. My current concern is the mini mana bomb toy that was supposed to be a buy item from Horos isn't listing in his vendor offerings. There's been no word on if you have to do the Theramore scenario instead or not, so I'm hoping it gets fixed or something's said when they do the maintenance.

I think your first 70 should lock in a base 100% xp buff for your alts. Then your second 70 locks in a base 200% xp buff, and then finally 300% after your third 70. Any alt can still gain threads above the base, up to idk, 350-400%.

Leveling my first toon felt as it did when MoP was current and that was with hitting 100% XP at the very end. In other words, it felt slow. You then need so much bronze to buy things it feels like a massive grind. Getting 30k while leveling when you need over a million just to upgrade gear feels terrible. In the interview with Blizzard on this very channel, they said 2 hours to get 5k bronze and 30k from mythic SoO. To get everything off the vendor, you need over 17k a day for 95 days assuming you dont get consumables or upgrade gear. That's mythic SoO at least 54 times or potentially 24 hours a week of farming frogs, possibly up to 40 hours or more if you throw in gear upgrades, too. Who wants to run mythic SoO 54 times? Or farm frogs for 40 hours? Same interview said to spend bronze to upgrade gear while leveling because it's so common, but when you need like a million bronze to upgrade gear if you get unlucky with drops, that's a waste of bronze. It's a toss up between upgrading gear or mounts/transmog. On top of that, the gear iLvL we aren't keeping in TWW so upgrading the gear feels pointless. We're also so squishy that getting one shot is demoralizing. I got kicked from a dungeon as a resto shaman because I couldn't keep the tank up, yet it was my fault, not scaling. I nearly saw another healer get the same fate later but avoided it when the vote failed. I helped out healing after that and we finished. The cloak is also a massive lie and nothing like we were told. You have to level one toon to 70 to remotely feel semi OP on the next one only for scaling to smack you again later. I feel like I was duped as the event doesn't feel fun and only feels like a grind. Its not MoP Remix. It's Frog or SoO Remix. I was optimistic originally, but now I'm already burning out. The grind feels like another slog like Plunderstorm. I would have rathered a repeat of the Legion invasions over this crap.

What about how the raid lockouts work? I was in a group in ToT that disbanded after the 1st boss. That locked me out for the day not being able to join another group to finish the raid. Why these raid ids dont work like in modern wow where you can continue with another group until you finish and you can even kill the bosses that you killed prior but not get the loot?

Gear upgrades should have been separate resource to bronze. Also, if you didn't exploit the frogs you are basically being punished at this point, you are essentially months behind those people doing 1.5mil dps in raids and that doesn't factor the amount of rewards they've already bought from the vendors. A modifier they need to add as a thread should be +bronze%

Just came across your channel and wanted to say that I find your delivery style to be chill and relaxed. Will definitely subscribe and watch future content. That said I agree with your comments about Blizzard misleading the community regarding how the XP aspects of the event would work. Across the board there was a general sense that the cloak was account-wide and that gains would be shared. This obviously isn’t how it went in the live game, but it’s still a disconnect with the player base that could have been avoided through better communication from Blizzard.

As a first draft for these more limited time fun/cosmetic/alt modes, I think it's great. It has *many* flaws and poor design decisions, but that's inevitable with a small team and a new format. Hopefully the cloak goes fully account-wide, bronze/thread drops from real content get buffed, and scaling at 70 is made less absurd. It's not much fun to hit 70 and feel like a limp dick until you farm frogs for 4 hours, without much recourse otherwise since 5mans are so overtuned.

I think its just miscommunication in terms of expectations, I entered thinking i would be op super strong. And reality is that my char is strong but not super noticeable particularly compared to leveling on retail where you honestly feel stronger than MOP remix. I really hope they fix it and just let us be over powered cause MOP remix is fun but it can be so much better

I dont like that the cloak doesnt 1:1 transfer to alts. I dont like that once a character hits 70, they get a trink, that your Alt can NOT get without getting 70. Or, completing the meta ach for the rings etc, they are also NOT accesable on another character that didnt get that ach. This was a BIG L to me as this event was lead to believe what you got on your main, your alts would get access too...ala in vein of what we are SUPPOSED to get in War Within.

I currently have 121% exp bonus after reaching 100 percent it only advances when a special item is dropped I do not remember the name.

The main things I would like to see changed are the required unlocks for 5 gear slots, just have those start dropping at different level breaks. The power level isn't so high that you don't miss having gear in those slots, and might be why some of the scaling is so weird. Or at least lower the unlocks to normal dungeons and lfr.

i think what could solve a lot things is if they up the thread drop by like 3-4 times and make exp cap at 500%. at that point the scaling wont matter to much

I have a hard time justifying upgrading any gear because I need the bronze for mounts and transmogs. I think it should have been a separate currency. Making it cost less bronze doesn't change the equation - I need so much bronze for the mounts and appearances that I can't afford to spend any on gear upgrades. That kind of sucks.

This is my main complaint as well. Well, that and rares getting one-shot before others have a chance to tag. I don't mind the slow leveling, because to me it doesn't feel slow at all, coming from vanilla ^.^

I tried healing a hc random pandaria dungeon yesterday on my 35 resto druid. I had to spam constantly my healing abilities, and even like that we were dying, getting one shot etc... Very poor experience

I didn’t get to play MOP so this is a lot of fun. I got my character to level seventeen, got a full set of 346 gear, and outfitted with legendary gems. I too thought my character would be more powerful but I’m good with it.

There definitely feels like a bit of a bait-and-switch with the cloak across alts. They may never have stated specifically that alt cloaks were open ended, it was heavily, and purposefully, implied. Also, the scaling at high levels is just inexcusable at this point. There is no reason why my level 30 toon should be just plowing through whole grouos of mobs that would oneshot my lvl 70 toon. That is bananas.

I want to keep all my cloak stats and i don't want low levels to destroy high levels is mutually exclusive. If you think its bad now imagine if a level 10 had literally thousands of main and secondary stats. Cloak is mostly fine, maybe keep all the exp (would be some really weird stuff once you had so much exp you'd outlevel gear too fast) but other than that cloak is ok-ish. Scalling feels terrible because bronze upgrade cost is way way way too high up till 346, and way way too high past that.

While 65-70 was a bit iffy with some oneshots during questing, upgrading all gear to 346 made most of that disappear.

I have quest leveled 3 characters to 70, and the 1st was the longest to level by far. The second took half the time, and my 3rd only took 9 hours. Every alt ended up with a higher xp bonus on thier cloak then the one before them. But all started at 100. My 3rd ended with 176% only questing.

You can farm however much xp bonus you want on one character, what I think is happening is that when you make an alt, that xp bonus doesn't carry over. No, you can level exp bonus higher than 100% - on individual character, only 100% transfers to next alt tho (at this point in time at least).

To max out all gear slots from 346 ilvl, you need 577,950 bronze. Considering this, 30k bronze per day feels pretty slow for doing siege of orgrimmar daily, which isnt an insignificant time investment. Maybe I'll think differently after a couple weeks, but I think they could increase the amount of bronze you get from other sources in the game.

After the frogs nerf the rewards feel unavailable. In addition everyone who exploited frogs are like 1-2 weeks ahead of everyone else. End game is basically broken because of it.

In regard to level 70 gearing, my opinion, the best change and easiest win for Blizzard is have gear drop equal to your highest ilvl piece of gear. You can keep the "can only upgrade once all gear is at the same highest level" but only ever seeing 346 (think that's the number) once I'm level 70 as rewards feels terrible and kills motivation knowing leveling up my gear with only bronze will take probably longer than the event will last.

Am only doing this Event for the new mounts, already have all existing retail MOP mounts. Should cost about 100k bronze. So I‘ll level to 70, see how much bronze I can get and then know how many alts I need to level up to get 100k bronze. I am taking it easy, got to lvl 53 so far and have about 25k.bronze.

EXP is really not a problem after get all the cloaks achieves for nexts alts. The biggest problem here is the lvl 60 tunning, all mobs begun to get hard to kill without gem procs, and when you reach 70, the fun is over, mobs hit like trucks and our damage begin to suck. Doing solo scenarios are almost impossible, the fun is over. If you want to do others achieves I feel like I NEED to do another alt to complete then...

Love the cloak. Honestly, I wish they would do a raid like this in an xpac. Where you grow during the raid by looting mobs/bosses. Something is wrong with the scaling. My resto druid is level 31ish and when I have to heal a 70 or someone 60+ they are getting absolutely trucked in dungeons. When I heal a 15, they don't even get touched. I just think something is off with the math. It's not like this with scaling outside of the remix.

I made a character up to lvl 70. Cloak exp bonus stopped at 131%, but other stats are continuing to grow. Today (3rd day of the event) I made an alt, because I wanted to see why a lvl 17 is doing 300% more dmg than me in heroic dungeon and rightfuly so, at lvl 12 I almost one-shotted heroic bosses in Scholomance. But that's side info. Originaly I thought the powers of the cloak transfer from your main to your alt (well let it scale down a bit, but still). Imagine my surprise, when I get my alt cloak and it was 0/0/0/0/0/0/0/0/100% exp gained. It doesn't even feel like 100% according to quest exp gains. And from lvl 1 you begin to add +1 this and +1 that ... I won't talk about procs of powers or the „Devastation bellow” quest ... the event itself is a good idea, but very bad execution.

I only hit 70 with my first character as of last night of me posting this comment and, lemme tell ya now, I am getting ONE-SHOT by a plethora of mobs (not all of them, but it's weird how randomly normal mobs will sometimes hit for insanely harder than elites) out in the open world while questing. Whether it was Krasarang Wilds, Townlong Steppes, etc, I had to pray to RNGesus for all my tinkers to proc to kill mobs if I pull more than I intend to or else I was guaranteed dead. I may be a mage but there's a distinction to be had between playing a glass cannon and being made of a thin layer of dust blowing away like I got Thanos-snapped. I did NOT participate in any of the exploits, just questing with very very rare dungeons/scenarios, and a couple of LFR wings. I am not at all looking forward to future alts until Blizzard make a clearly-worded post about how they plan to address scaling and rewards being earned. Until then, I am going to finish the full campaign experience and just focus on grinding bronze for buying mounts (I finally bought the Nalak dragon drop, which used up every single bronze I had saved up until this point......and I have so many left to go).

Another problem with remix, is the fact that a large majority of the rewards (which happen to be the transmog ensembles) are completely bugged. Not sure what I or the collecting community is expecting especially when this has been a problem since ensembles were introduced to the game (it's been over 5-6 years by now) and it has never been addressed. The problem with is these ensembles in some cases have removed from game source IDs or in other cases contain the transmogs from MoP Scenarios on live retail servers. There's literally thousands of items from these MoP Scenarios and the only way currently to get them is opening 2 boxes from 2 quests that are only completable once per character. It's a big problem that likely will not be addressed, but is worth mentioning and taking note as a mega failure of the event.

I really hope it does get better soon. As it is, my 70 druid does NOT feel powerful. I get one-shot constantly, my damage is awful, and getting bronze is more hellish slog than pleasurable grind. Leveling DEFINITELY doesn’t feeling like running. There are broken and bugged quests all over the place, including main story quests. It’s a half-baked mess at the moment, made worse by the clear potential for awesomeness that is there.

Yea, it’s fun. Not what was advertised. It feels more like MoP classic with changes to gearing. The gems are cool. It’s not a total fail and I will level a couple of characters in it, but it’s not an overpowered leveling system to get an alt army ready for War Within like it was allowed to be advertised as. I’m kinda glad I’ve not preordered WW yet. Who knows what they allow you guys to tell us that they change in the last minute to sell more character boosts.

honestly the lower exp multiplier hasn't been a big problem for me mostly because; Why would I want to level up? Being level 10 as a tank or healer is the strongest you'll ever be! It's all down hill from there.

Remix feels like it's all about the cosmetics, which is fine, but when it was marketed by... Well, everyone as a fast way to level up at the end of an expansion, it missed the mark. I think everyone knew that the first character made was going to be a little bit slower in the levelling department, but having 2 70s already and working on my third, one would expect to be flying through levels and that really isn't the case.

you should check out that asmongold vid of the frog farming shadow priest who basically solos everything in a siege of orgrimmar raid while the rest of the raid just tickles the bosses too. there's also a fight where literally every other raid member dies and he has to tank the boss for a while (not long, because he kills any boss in half a minute anyway) and his health bar doesn't even move. shit is crazy busted

The cloak thing is a kick in the balls, this is a glorified alternative leveling system, it should be fast, fun, and available to everyone not just no life exploiters. I hit 70 last night, I dont think ive ever had more than 7000 bronze at once Completing 2 zones, and dungeon/raiding in between I trusted them when they said it was fast to get bronze, but I no longer believe them lol EDIT: I'm spending bronze to upgrade gear to stay relevant at 70, otherwise i cant kill overworld mobs

On my havoc DH I'm fine on killing any overworld mob at 70 with only 346 gear. I generally don't die. My scaling issues are in group content. What level are you upgrading items to? I'm not planning to upgrade anything if it's not at least a blue item, otherwise you are wasting resources.
