I was fired yesterday afternoon from a six year job that was crap but I needed. Today I watched this video again and smiled. Yep, everything is good with Adam Rafferty around.

I've been playing guitar for over 50 years. Even though I watch you play the bass line, my mind still can't comprehend that you are playing bass, while keeping up such fluid lead lines, perfect rhythm, tasteful chording and joyful exuberance in ever moment. I wish you the greatest happiness in every aspect of your life. Your playing enriches my life more than you'll ever know! Thank you! BP

That's absolutely breathtaking! What a talent, what a great performer. Adam does not need any accompaniment: He plays melody, bass, rhytm, accompaniment, all by himself. Thats real art. Thank you, Adam, and all the best to you.

Mr. Adam Rafferty I'll have you know, that that amazing Right hand touch has guided me for years now! lol That includes of course, you're beautiful ever so light Right hand approach as well. Your Beautiful arrangements and sensitive touch, tone, tempo, technique and timing, have kept me honest and happy for many years. lol These are some of the principles I myself study and do my best to instill in my young students. God bless, peace be with you and may your personal creative journey bring you peace and prosperity. ❤

Brilliant!- years ago I watched and enjoyed your videos; when I retired in 2017 I started getting into learning the piano but now drifting back to finger style guitar. In the meantime I became a huge admirer of Josh Turner Guitar (not the country guy) a massive talent on guitar etc. So you dropped of the KZbin radar - back now though as I go through your KZbin catalog again and try and learn some new tunes. Cheers from the uk.

I am 72. Got a $15 Sears Silvertone steel string acoustic ordered from the catalog in 1958. Anyway I kind of think players are the best judge of talent. And talent cannot be taught. You just recognize it immediately when you see or hear it.

The smoothest "funky fingerstyle" acoustic guitar player in the world. There are none who run the fretboard with any more slickness than Adam. His left hand looks like hes making no effort jumping from the lower frets to the octaves and back...and that rolling bass is superb! Definitely in my "Adam Top 10". Bravo, Herr Guitarmeister!

Just brilliant. Pure joy, just so so good. I'm a sucker for a walking bass line and this fulfilled my need. I can't describe how good I found this, it's just perfection. You seem like an old hippy Adam but you are much too young. Martin Taylor (the master of the walking bass) would love this.

Absolutely wonderful. This song gets such a bum rap, mostly because it has been so overplayed. Along comes Adam to show us that this great Erroll Garner tune can be contemporary and fresh. It is also cool to see this jazz standard work so well in a Fingerstyle arrangement. I would love to learn this version (I am anticipating many hours of work & practice for myself!) and I am hoping it will be on your new teaching site which opens next week. BTW Adam, the walking bass is fantastic but my favorite parts are the limited use of harmonics for melody notes, which is so cool.

Marc - I would not be the guitarist I am today without Joe Pass. He was a major - and I mean MAJOR influence on me. I could go on and on. I'm going for more "rhythm section" in my playing than he tends to but man, he's one of my all time faves. If you;'ve never heard it get the album "For Django" - it is killing!
