I'm so glad you found the tips helpful! Once you start placing things at different heights, I think you'll find it's rather fun to decide which pieces go up higher and lower, and to find things to place your stitching on.

Great tips!! I always wondered what to do if one has a themed display but have used different colors of fabric in the stitching along with finding coordinating decor to add in and around. Also the eyes moving across up and down in a wave is a great tip also. Thank you! Your displays are wonderful and I’m with you on the remote control aspect, another great idea!! You're right, Merritt, seasonal picks can really add a nice touch to a display! Do you have seasonal picks for patriotic displays? I have some red, white, and blue flowers, and I think it looks decent, but I think that's the trickiest one for me to find good picks for.

@@MistyPursel I have found some red, white and blue picks at a local home decor shop that are fun and I found some picks with stars at HL. Yes, definitely a hard holiday to find picks for adding to your display. HL does have some all red and all white out with their Christmas stuff now; perhaps some of those picks would work with a blue ribbon or bow and added greenery.

The height ideas are perfect!! I’m not able to empty my hutch for just seasonal displays what would you suggest to help make it look like an organized space?? Not sure how to say it clearly!! I love the design Gathering things I did it in Aztec red but the color was more pink than red but I love it!!!

That's a good question! I think to some extent it depends on what the purpose of your hutch display is. If you have certain decorations in there that you love (like a vase, tea cups, etc.) and the point is to display those items, then I'd try to fill in with cross stitch designs that echo those themes and colors. If the hutch is to display your cross stitch and you just want to fill in with some decorations around the stitched pieces, I'd still try to have some sort of overall theme (e.g. food/kitchen items) and then have the decorations echo the stitched designs in color and theme. If you can, I'd try to limit the color scheme to about 4-5 colors that you like the look of together. Hope that helps!
