Hey Bro, It's completely natural to have concerns about fitting in at MIT Manipal, especially if you're from a middle-class background surrounded by students from wealthier families. But here's the thing - you belong here just as much as anyone else! First off, remember that college is all about shared interests and passions. Focus on connecting with people who share your academic pursuits and hobbies. You'll find that genuine connections aren't based on how much money someone has. Also, don't hesitate to seek support if you need it. MIT Manipal likely has resources like counseling services and student groups that can help address your worries. Bro some students are managing college without much expense. Some might even be here on loans or scholarships. Financial backgrounds are diverse, and everyone's journey is unique. personally, i have felt Manipal to be very expensive but there are people here who have a different opinion. Lastly, believe in yourself and your achievements. You earned your place at MIT Manipal through hard work and dedication. So, embrace who you are and dive into this exciting chapter of your life! Remember, college is a time for growth and discovery. Stay positive, stay open-minded, and make the most of your experience. You've got this!

exactly, I feel the same Im likely to get cse in mit and Im worrying the same (apart from fees ofc). my family has just enough money for my education, that means they expect that I will return to them with good job, making their investment fruitful after 4 years but Im still doubtful abt it, like should I let them spend so much for me? you made me lil less stressed about it, tho the 'rich crowd' thing still scares me a lil

Hey @blu284, I can totally understand why you're feeling stressed about this decision. It's a big step, and it's natural to have doubts. Here are a few thoughts that might help: 1. Investment in Education: Education is one of the best investments you can make. The skills and knowledge you gain will stay with you for life and open doors to numerous opportunities. MIT Manipal has a strong reputation, and a degree from there can significantly boost your career prospects. 2. Support System: Remember, you're not alone. Many students come from diverse backgrounds, and universities provide support services to help everyone feel included and succeed. Reach out to these resources whenever you need them - they're there to help. 3. Networking and Opportunities: Being surrounded by a diverse group of students, including those from wealthier backgrounds, can be an opportunity to expand your network. These connections can be beneficial in the future, both professionally and personally. 4. Focus on Your Goals: Keep your goals in mind. While it might be intimidating at first, your hard work and dedication will pay off in the long run. Focus on your studies and personal growth, and everything else will fall into place. 5. Family Support: Your family believes in you and is willing to make sacrifices for your education. This shows how much they care about your future. Use their support as motivation to excel in your studies and make them proud. 6. Long-Term Perspective: Think about the long-term benefits of your education. A good job and career growth will eventually allow you to give back to your family and make their investment worthwhile. It's completely normal to have doubts, but believe in yourself and your abilities. You're capable of achieving great things. Take one step at a time, and know that you're supported by your family and friends. All the best!!

Hi bro... Im getting bits dual and mit cse(192 score and 85 pcm)... Which one should i choose
@sachind16
@sachind16 Ай бұрын
Hi bro, Choosing between BITS Dual Degree and MIT CSE depends on your career goals and preferences. Here are some points to consider: **BITS Dual Degree:** - You will graduate with two degrees (usually B.E. + M.Sc.), providing a broad knowledge base. - BITS Pilani is highly reputed, and the dual degree can offer flexibility in career choices. - The program might take an extra year compared to a single degree. **MIT CSE (Manipal Institute of Technology):** - A focused Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) degree can lead to strong career opportunities in the tech industry. - Manipal Institute of Technology is well-regarded, especially for its engineering programs. - If you're particularly interested in a tech career, this might be the better option. Think about your long-term career goals, interests, and the type of education experience you want. If you want a broader education with more flexibility, BITS might be the way to go. If you're focused on a tech career, MIT CSE could be the better choice.

Bro... I'm a jee 2024 aspirant. And I'm also considering MIT Manipal as a backup. But I'm still confused. Being a middle class guy is it worth taking loan of 23-24 lacs for MIT Manipal CSE/IT? Also what's the average package a cs/it guy can expect? In MIT website they are showing there overall average of 12.59 lpa...is that true? Also, i want to ask that are there any students in MIT who opted for loan?
@sachind16
@sachind16 3 ай бұрын
Taking a 23-24 lakh loan for MIT Manipal's CSE/IT is a big decision and depends on your financial background and career ambitions. It's crucial to consider the Return on Investment; if the expected salary after graduation can cover the loan repayment comfortably, it might be a worthwhile investment. The average package of 12.59 LPA at MIT is across departments, with CS/IT usually on the higher end due to industry demand. Many students finance their education through loans, so you're not alone in considering this. Be sure to check the loan's terms and compare MIT with your other options. Good Luck ☺

How is ece branch of manipal main campus...what was its cutoff last year. Plz ans plz
@sachind16
@sachind16 2 ай бұрын
The Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) branch at Manipal main campus is well-regarded for its comprehensive curriculum and opportunities for hands-on learning. However, I don't have real-time access to specific university data, including last year's cutoff for ECE at Manipal. Cutoffs can vary from year to year depending on various factors such as the number of applicants, the performance of those applicants, and changes in admission criteria. I would recommend checking the official website of Manipal University or contacting the admissions office directly for the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding cutoffs and admission requirements for ECE.

Bro I got 141 in MET and 81.5 in pcme what can I expect at manipal main branch
@sachind16
@sachind16 Ай бұрын
With a score of 141 in the MET and 81.5 in PCME, you can expect to be eligible for several branches at the Manipal Main Campus. The exact branch you may get depends on the cutoff ranks for the current year, which can vary. However, based on past trends, here's a rough idea: 1. **Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)**: This is one of the most sought-after branches and typically has a higher cutoff. With your scores, it might be challenging to get CSE unless the cutoffs are lower this year. 2. **Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)**: This branch also has a relatively high cutoff but may be within reach depending on the year's competition. 3. **Mechanical Engineering**: This branch usually has a slightly lower cutoff compared to CSE and ECE, so you have a good chance of getting in. 4. **Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE)**: Similar to Mechanical, the cutoffs are typically more accessible. 5. **Civil Engineering**: This branch generally has lower cutoffs, so you should have a good chance of getting it. 6. **Chemical Engineering**: Another branch with usually lower cutoffs compared to CSE and ECE. Please note that these are just estimations based on past trends. The actual cutoffs can vary each year. It's best to check the official MET counseling updates for the most accurate information.

Taking a loan for studying at Manipal Institute of Technology can be worth it if the potential salary after graduation outweighs the cost of the loan. Consider the earning potential of your chosen program, the loan terms, and your personal financial situation before deciding.
