James Paxton was just DFA. He's not bad at all. ERA is a little high but I'd like to see them just bolster the rotation more. We do need a bat or two. But I looked up some of the stats a few weeks ago of the 2013 Pirates and they are fairly similar. We have the talent and nothing is better for confidence than fighting back and winning. This team just needs to be consistent.

I find a lot to be skeptical about with the current shape of analytics and the disregard for the only 2 stats that matter when the game is over. Who had more rbis and who won everything else is just talk that wins no games.

Chisolm,nardi from the fish,cherry has enough prospect depth to get this done without missing a beat. All the folks who wail and cry abouy spending prospects would be best served by reminding themselves there is a draft every year and cherry has shown he can draft pitching and the organization can develop them so the excess is for getting bats the pirates have trouble developing.
