QB1: Mitch Trubisky is a very mobile QB who can extend plays and help a struggling offensive line. He was in a very bad situation in Chicago with Matt Nagy and a lack of weapons, but still showed flashes of potential and was a 1x Pro Bowl selection and led the Bears to the playoffs twice. After having a year to sit and collect himself behind Josh Allen, I think he has upside to be good with the Steelers with good coaching and weapons. Also a good fit for what Matt Canada wants to do with the offense. He was my #1 FA QB over Winston and Bridgewater and now he is presumably QB1 in Pittsburgh. Let me know what you think below! #Steelers

Bears fan here. Mitch has all the tools to thrive. He was thrown under the bus by nagy who didnt like him. You guys are going to love mitch

I think above average, huge mobility, the only think I would like to see more is his pocket abilities. As a Steelers fan I won't make up my mind until he starts playing. Solid move to sign him, in paper not only do we bring a QB but also make room for a way bigger Cap next season. A-

Wow, as a Steelers fan for 48 years, I must admit that I might be wrong about Trubisky. he looks pretty good in these highlights. Although, the highlights only show his good plays not the bad ones. He does have to learn how to get down sooner on some of his running plays or his career will be short lived. I am rooting for him and hope he does well.

Mitch could be the steal of this particular free agent class. Working with Bills coaches for a year, change of scenery. We might be ready to witness something very special come September

He looks so much like Tony Romo out there it's ridiculous. The only thing that's missing is Tony's swagger. Get this kid some confidence and he'll be just fine. Let's go Pit!

Love the Tony Romo comparison. You're right though.

To Trebisky. I have faith in you brother. Specially with this raggedy ass pick they just did with picket. Don’t let me down don’t let the team down don’t let the fans down. We need maturity we need talent we need a pro bowler that we know you are. Good luck man hope to get you to the big numbers in two years.#Money

Being a Bears fan for almost 35 years now, probably the only time I've ever seen a winner in my lifetime at the QB position. It was a shame to let him go, and unfortunate he was taken ahead of Patrick Mahomes, but as a true Bears fan I can honestly say I knew we always had a chance to win if this dude was under center. I hope he does well with you guys. After what I've seen since, it was probably a lot more to do with Nagy's play-calling and lack of developing a great talent. A year in Buffalo behind an MVP type player and great coaches had to do him wonders.

He has weapons.. Claypool, Johnson, Freiermuth, Najee... And I'm willing to bet they bring Juju back... Ben limited Pittsburgh because he couldn't get out and extend plays like he use too.. Mitch has good legs and will be able to break the pocket and hit Recievers down field.. He fits what Canada wants to do on offense and that's run a RPO type offense like San Francisco runs
@georgiasteeler87902 жыл бұрын
Im extremely nervous! He won't be running around like that in our division. Canada acted like he didn't know Ben couldn't move and still ran the same RPO offense.. I don't see Canada and Tribisky making that offense work any better.

Bears Fan here. Mitch still has all the aspects that made him the overall top QB prospect out of his draft (most GMs agreed he was their top graded QB as well). The problem is that he was drafted to a team with Matt Nagy as the main man after his rookie year. Matt Nagy did not coach him at all and in fact did the opposite. After his breakout 2018 season, Nagy decided to change the way he played the game to fit the style Nagy wanted from a QB. Instead of playing his strengths (mobility and throwing on the run) and coaching to build off them, he made mitch try to be a stationary pocket QB. The only thing this poor kid did wrong was get drafted ahead of two QBs who panned out better with the help of substantially better coaching. Please Pittsburgh, him the chance he deserved in Chicago.

I'm a Steelers fan and all I have to say is he saved the Steelers from a terrible season. He has the skill to win us games and maybe even the SB, not being rude, but all we need now is some better WR's. I hope we make the SB. He's got the skill and talent/experience. LFG

As a Bears fan I’m going to say it now. Mitch wasn’t the problem in Chicago, it was the play calling/offense. I really wish we would have kept him but what’s done is done. Good luck Mitch! I wish you all the best.

I think a lot of Bears fans will be rooting for the Steelers this year. Even though it did not work out he’s a guy that you root for. Hard-working, great with his teammates, embraces the city’s team history…it’s one of the reasons the Bears misevaluated him in the draft because he was so likeable during the pre-draft interviews. As a player, he is very mobile and in fact he’s a very good play action quarterback because he can also throw very accurately on the run (and it was infuriating to Bears fans watching the coaching staff refusing adjust to his play style). His negatives are that he is jittery in the pocket and doesn’t have good pocket presence in general. He’s slow at processing the field and can easily get tricked by defenses disguising their coverage. Also a big negative is his deep ball and any ball that is thrown with touch is pretty bad. Overall, I still want to see him how he looks away from the terrible and disjointed Matt Nagy offensive system. He had a preseason game against the Bears last year when he was on Buffalo and he looked pretty good (check out the highlights on KZbin).
