This camera is aweseom. I have used it with a tiny handheld stick way back when I got the original go. I have only used the app vs the desk top editor. cool video, great camera

Another great video. I’d be keen to get your take on the insta360 ‘Back Bar’ waist accessory. Maybe see if your buddy Sam can organise it - would be good to compare the camera angles using the Back Bar to those you captured on the ONE X2 in the previous video. Cheers

That's a valid concern. So far, I havent had only problems, although I've only had it for a few weeks, so take that with a grain of salt.

I used the free, Garmin VIRB software. It bakes the GPS and power data from my Wahoo head unit into the video from the GO2 (on the computer, after recording). I don’t believe the GO2 has GPS.

How do you synch with your data if therer is no GPS data?

I used my Wahoo bike computer for GPS and synced it with the camera footage using the Garmin Virb app

I haven’t had any problems with overheating. Busy I do wish the batter lasted longer. I get about 30 mins of recording out of a single charge

Nice video... I'm looking at supplementing my One X 2 - which I wear on top of my helmet for gravel riding. And I get great footage. The Go 2 is where I am looking, cause I'm wanting to capture my garmin screen for building into the videos I make... (60K/h down a gravel trail makes for interesting viewing but even better if I had real time speed and elevation data) Can you tell me how you did the speed dial data on the video.. Is that a Resolve add-in or is it sourced from a device.. Thanks in advance

thanks for watching! If you’re already familiar with the One X2, you’ll feel right at home with this one. It uses the same software to process the footage. The on-screen data comes from my Wahoo bike computer, and is processed using Garmin’s VIRB software. Basically, it takes the .gpx file from my ride and let’s me sync up the gps data with the video footage. They have a bunch of dials you can choose, ranging from speed, to heartate and more. I export a .png sequence w the data burned in and lay it over the original video in Resolve. Hope that makes sense 😜 there are a bunch of good Garmin VIRB video tutorials that will explain it much better, I’m sure. Cheers!

i have this camera.. very grainy and smudgy in low light.. looking like it was recorded using an old smartphone. cant get rid of it in post.. i usually ride late afternoon or night and imo this is not the right camera for me. idk if there is a setting to make the video look better during night rides. i just set everything to the highest (1440p 50fps flowstate stabilization on and highest bit rate) and not impressed with the outcome

Oh that’s a bummer to hear. I haven’t tried it at night yet, but you might want to try 24fps. I’m theory, the slower frame rate (compared to 50fps) would allow for an extra stop of brightness, which would be super useful in low light.

Mirror or Camera. Not suitable on helmet. You want the view to be steady, controlled rather than like a sting video with lot of "noise". Unless you are camping hiking or mining.

Totally agree-I learned that lesson about halfway through the video 😅. Don’t wanna block your view!

@@MitchBoyer By noise I meant a lot of shakes, coming from just looking back and forth, for traffic behind, watching for pedestrians etc. Quite the opposite for flash light which needs to point at where you see. The video can get a bit nauseating sometimes.

I used Garmin VIRB, it’s a free software that lets you show your power data on your videos. I think it’s the same software 99% of cycling KZbinrs use. Hope that helps!
