Using a slip knot to extend ceiling tile wire

Make the bend on your upper wire larger than the wire you are attaching. It’s easier to weave them into position. Also, after pulling tight, bend bottom leg up. This will lock the splice so that it never comes undone as other trades lift up and move your wires all over.

You didn't mention the legal 3 wraps within 1.5" or 4 wraps for seismics also the size of the knot must be pulled to it's max point thereby reducing its mass.

It was done on a different wire, yes. Can confirm it is the same type of knot
