I think at thos point out of the athletes, Mitch has gotta be the best ambassador for the sport. Constantly pushing the ball forward and trying to get eyes on the product. Because of how excellent he is at strongman i think that maybe overshadows what he actually does for everyone else involved.

I understand, why you prefer the timber frame to be the same as usual - there is a known record to compare your performance to/break. I would like to see the frame heavier, though, just for separation of the field. I am most exited to see, which size/weight/shape natural stone they bring into the overhead gauntlet. Those natural stones can throw people off in many ways. Odd object lifting is so interesting to watch - like the medley at Rogue Invitational, where a few athletes got no rep due to the KB, which is one of the least irregular of the odd objects used in strongman (I use the frase "odd object" for things with center of gravity shifted away from your hand, like KBs, sandbags, natural stones, anvils....). Also interesting to see, how far Hafthor has come with his over head lifts. Train hard, stay safe 👍👍

The field separation is there, must of them do not finish and 2025 won´t be an exception. Mitch got .1 secs to break Mateusz´s record, but that doesn´t mean there is no separation

I don't know if it's feasible but I would actually like the frame carry to be longer, instead of heavier. It seems last year the balance was good between people who could finish it, get part way, or barely move it much, so the weight seemed fine. But make the ramp longer, just to extend the winning times (7-8 seconds just seems a little too quick for an event) and space out the placements a little more.

I would say there's no need to increase the weight of the frame, last year it was assumed 7 of 11 guys could finish it and only 4 of 11 actually finished it. Only Mitch, Thor and Mateusz finished in one go.

ASC is a really fun show and lots of stuff over head always looks cool. I agree on the frame carry. They should keep the old one. It's a frame with lots of stories makes it easy to compare results.

Maybe the Arnold doesn't want to deal with the controversy around Luke since he isn't generally a podium guy at this point. Not trying to kick up crap, but its a legitimate possibility. Would not be suprised to see him booed at his first major show since the cheating, why have that at your show if you are a promoter

1. Bummed that they're not doing the Od Haugen Tombstone to shoulder again. Idk how the argument can be made with a straight face to keep using the standards/classics of the contest for the frame carry and deadlift, but not the stone. It demonstrates strength in its most raw and pure form. If the other guys can't hack it, then that's just too bad for them. 2. Not bummed that Luke isn't coming. He has yet to prove he deserves a spot at such a contest, and he seems to have enough going on in his personal life at the moment and I don't think he would give a good performance

Having an event only one person can do doesnt make for an entertaining show - it sucks that Mateusz is losing a certain victory event, but changing it makes sense. Luke beat Bobby soundly at rogue, and was definitely a top 10 strongman in 2024, so its pretty clear his exclusion isnt performance based.

I can see Tom making 2nd place in this comp, just feel like the deadlift will cost him the most points. Even if his pulls like a 430/440 that'll still only be good enough for top 5 and I don't think Mitch will drop below 3rd in any event.

I actually think Lucas Hatton is going to be Mitch's biggest threat. He has no real weakness here (Mitch is just better at some of the events). Thor's going to suffer with the two pressing events, especially because he just can't push press or jerk the bar well, and Mateusz will probably be bottom two on the deadlift, maybe above Maxime. I wouldn't underestimate Hatton on moving events. He's done heavy, heavy farmers/frames at North Americas, and heavy moving events and done well.
