Hello mate, have had my gti performance for a month, if you accelerate hard from 1st to 2nd do you get what sounds like a double bang when you drop it into 2nd? Coming from what sounds like the rear end weirdly, I thought it was traction control but have tried turning off an still does it plus it’s front wheel drive so why would it come from the back!? It’s sort of known in the forums but not as much as think it should be. Or do you just not go to high in the revs in 1st(which is when you sorta wanna get away- 1st to 2nd!)

CMK7.5 manual, maybe a bang is over the top, more of a double thud. It’s gotta be near red line to do it, there’s not many manual owners I can ask if it’s common 😆. It’s only 1st to 2nd, if you feel like ragging yours next time ya in it be good to know if is just mine! I’ve done it a few times, couple times not intentionally, last 3 times tried traction control off and then fully off, same result. It sort of feels like it’s cutting it off cos would put too much pressure on gear 2 or something but then if no one else’s is doing it... maybe not!

M Will is it wheel hop? But then if it was wheel hop it would propoubly be near the front as we are fwd! I’m not entirely sure as I don’t get none on mine at the back!

Did you have to upgrade clutch when you went stage 1?

No mate but was recommended!! So I would do if your in same situation mate, anything over 300 :)

I prefer the stock spoiler and diffuser , mods are very subjective, I can give you the exhaust tips tho

Dan kelly it’s advertised at around 44 but in the city you’ll get in the 30s but bc of the few things I’ve done to mine I get 20s and less if I put my foot down a bit!! Very nice car though! And it isn’t bad on fuel if your sensible :)

@@Carl_Mitchell yh, i have vw polo beats and passed last year july and been insured but it was expensive around £3000 for a 1.0 litre vw polo and overall do a video on running costs of gti, also keep up the content it looks a lot better than when you got it stock

@@Carl_Mitchell not 100% sure on this model, but always go for either Eibach or H&R not the cheap ones off ebay. ive used H&R ones in the past and they are brilliant, never had an issue. I saw a package on Motech's website that suggested 12mm (each side) , so might be worth talking to them.
