I wanted to check does the fluid clutch stay on body of rear derailleur? I am just unsure how it works as looks like take cage off and it takes clutch
@MitchOnTwoWheels Жыл бұрын
The spring is the clutch. It comes off briefly, then goes back in with the new cage.

@@MitchOnTwoWheels okay thanks, wanted to check as felt worried about what happens to what they said was orbital fluid clutch or something can't wait to make my next bike that will have it on, going over the top on stuff even if use as daily too so trek Emonda alr that be lighter than a trek Emonda SL7 and cheaper, want long lasting and aero, only carbon be forks and what on groupset, all else trying to avoid it so know last long time

please can you tell me which is the difference from these products labeled as "alternative" to the other not labeled as alternative?
@MitchOnTwoWheels Жыл бұрын
I’m not sure? Maybe gear capacity for bigger cog size?

Alternative parts fit into the existing cage I believe.

Thanks for the video but leaving out the critical parts doesn't help us at all.

I can guarantee that that is made for approx 10-20$ and it has been proved by cycle engineering to have no benefit whatsoever,, and as an engineer just because something runs very free doesnt make it faster,, usually the opposite... the original was much better and well greased allows free running under pressure, loose spinning osps cause friction nder pressure

There's quite a bit of testing literature that says otherwise... Albeit marginal, it does make a difference.
