background music a person who has hearing problems is a little difficult to choose. but I am fine with it because I am interested in what it does not the music, which only serves not to make the engine roar.

@@MitchsScooterStuff I love restoration videos, but some creators get way too chatty, and spend most of the vid time with it. Your Vino 125 vids will be handy for me, as my wife's '04 Vino has been sitting for a decade and needs some TLC. Just gotta figure out how to unstick the gas cap.

Got the cap off a while back. It was caked with brown gunk. I cleaned that up and it's working fine now, but need to pull the tank, hose, carb, etc. for a good cleaning. Bike only has about 500 miles on it since new.

Going to get a scooter soon (unfortunately it's a taotao 50cc but hey it's in good shape for what I'm paying for it) and you have inspired me to buy it. It may not be an old Honda elite but it'll be mine. The fact that someone, who is deaf, can work on such a machine and make it so beautiful really blows my mind. It's hard to find people with disabilities to put in the work and effort like you do. You have really inspired me to keep working on little things and I'm very happy that I could watch your videos. That's pretty badass! I had a moped (I think it was a pucci brand it had peddles on it to start the motor) when I was a kid growing up back in the early 1980"s and rode that thing everywhere and even used it as a dirt bike which wasn't a very good idea because the air filter and carburetor kept filling up with dirt and leave but that's how I learned how to work on mechanical engines. My father told me "you broke it, you fix it" so I did. I eventually graduated to an old Harley Davidson 125cc that was both on and off road and I rode that think from about the age of 14 until about 16 or 17. Thanks for the video that brought back a lot of great memories and it makes me want to get a scooter again for my wife and scooting around town.

I got here from Mustie1's channel, like most here. Good job on fixing up the old Honda! They're very cool scooters. I rode an '99 Aprilia Leonardo 250 for a while, and while my current BMW F650GS is a great bike I'd love to get back into that CVT life. I'm from the Netherlands, and scooters over 50cc are rare here. You can find 50cc moped-scooters everywhere, but most bikers buy a manual motorcycle once they get their license because it's 'cool'. Great, now you've got me browsing the second-hand pages. :)

Marke absolutely, I rebuild old dirt bikes, there’s nothing more gratifying, the big 4 plus Maicos KTM’s, Husky’s , all of them and the great thing is, they all have different personalities, todays bikes are so cookie cutter it’s terrible. I’ve never done a vid but was thinking about trying, you’d get a kick out of the basket case TT500 Yamaha I did. YZ suspension, cam, pumper carb, full exhaust, and 42 lbs lighter than stock but looks like it rolled out the showroom. Other than it’s 4” taller

One of the best scoots I ever owned. In Australia it was called the "Spacey" and it was a dream to ride. Great work Mitch, really enjoyable.

Love the videos and the channel. Just bough a Honda Helix 1986 and I really like the rebuilt you just did. I'll be using this video and your seperate ones to fix mine since the carb isn't working properly. Keep being the amazing human you are. Thank you.

Been following your van build and saw this and thought I would tell you a story from my past. So way back in the 90's my wife and I lived in the city and then moved to the suburbs and I took along my city bike my Honda Elite . I got a job at the airport that was a good hour drive on the highway and one very hot summer day instead of driving the car I took the Elite on the side roads early. So I work my shift and back then I had little kids and when you could work overtime you did and I just said yes and forgot about riding home. I finished work around midnight and was so tired I said hell with it I will hop on probably one of the biggest scariest highways in North America the 401. I would put the highest octane in the bike and I had the throttle pinned and remember feeling every line in the road, super scary got off after two exits and ended up getting home at around 3 am...ha just noticed when you finished was my B day

Great work man 👍. Seeing something old restored and get back to running condition gives a smile on our face. I have a atari game console from 80s but in India no one can restore it. Hope one day I can find someone who can restore it for me

I had the Yamaha CA50. Built around the same time as the Honda elite. Well built and impressive for mid 80s. Interestingly enough, the technology has not changed in 40 years. Scooters today (without computers) are still being built with the exact same configurations.
