Thankyou Mitch for the evening update..it was the Euro was weaker. .but now Maybe coming into agreement with gefs..not good with intensity .hopefully low end..the west coast of Fla very vulnerable to storm surge bcz of the shape of the coast line and shallow waters Horseshoe Beach and Cedar Key also the gulf coast states.. that early forcast tracks Tampa Bay also concerning but its early. I read an article on rivers and waterways depending on intensity and angels water can be pushed in 24 miles inland and reach depths up to 8ft. So hopefully it will speed up to lessen impacts..also remain a low end hurricane fingers crossed.

Mitch, something to mention for those of us in the Appalachians of NC. It doesn't take much for us to have trees down. Rain alone brings down trees here thanks to the slopes we have. If that storm arrives as a Cat 1 or a TS it will be a large impact for our area with dozens of trees down within my little fire district.

Northern LA if your actually going to leave. If all these models prove to be accurate, we will be on the western side of the storm. We were in the western side of Micheal and it was just a pleasant tropical day. The eastern part of the storm is where it gets hard core. It’s still early, the next couple of days will reveal a lot.

Down below is the order. ↙ Taylor County Mandatory Countywide Evacuation Order Hurricane Helene The Taylor County Sheriff's Office is issuing a Mandatory Evacuation Order for everyone in Taylor County due to the intensity of the forecasted Hurricane Helene effective immediately. Hurricane Helene is predicted to be a catastrophic and life threatening storm system. This system will be unlike anything we have experienced to date. A curfew is effective from sunset to sunrise. Repeat, this is a MANDATORY EVACUATION ORDER for everyone. 🙏 praying for everyone's safety
