You're right about the dreaded jigsaw! I don't know a single person who likes it😅

I built mine about forty years ago. I built it with the table on which the miter rested about four inches lower than the miter needed to have its tables flush with the cabinet tables. Then I added another table and used Allthread with washers and nuts to raise that table to accommodate the table of whatever miter I wanted to put in it. Be it a Delta, a Dewalt or, on down the road, a Bosch or Festtool.

Great build. I am in the middle of building my miter station work area based on King's plans. I think your build is a better build. It has given me pause to consider a few things to incorporate into my build.

My old miter saw station was James’ design. This design saves on plywood. I’ll have plans out soon.

You didn't list the laser measurer thingamabob that you used. Seriously looking for a good, accurate one that will measure at least 100' (looking to measure my fence lengths on all sides to draw up a sketch of my property to scale, among other needed uses). Nice build, btw!
@foxhallww3112 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching. Here is the model of the laser measure that is the step up from mine. amzn.to/3vzVXjd. Mine model will only go up to 65ft. This model goes up to 165ft.
@Lakusus2 жыл бұрын
@@foxhallww311 Thanks! Yeah, I thought it might be a Bosch. I actually looked at a couple of those at Home Depot. This is actually about $15 cheaper than at HD! Thanks, again and have a great day!
@foxhallww311 Жыл бұрын
did you end up purchasing the laser measure? how do you like it?
@Lakusus Жыл бұрын
Not yet. Going to be awhile. Unfortunately, I've got lots and LOTS of other, more immediate, things to deal with. New house that was in dire need of a lot of hidden work. Finished quite a lot, but still working on putting down quarter round along the baseboards, then I get to finish the fence on both sides of the house, THEN I finally will be able to start working on running all the electrical for my shop. Mapping out my new property is just going to have to take a far back seat, in the meantime. Someday, though, I'll be able to get around to it...hopefully sooner than later. 😉@@foxhallww311
Hey guys! The plans will be available on Wednesday. I apologize for the delay. Work and life have been a real bear lately. I will also be getting back into the shop to build a router table/cabinet soon.

I noticed in this video the orbital setting on your jigsaw is set to 3, which makes that blade moves forward as well as up and down. This makes for a faster but rpugher cut. If you set the orbital setting to 0, the blade will only move up and down leaving smoother cuts and better control on the jig saw 👍 hope that helps your relationship, keep up the awesome videos! New subscriber 👍

I actually don’t have that jigsaw anymore. I sprung for a Milwaukee Jigsaw. So much better. Thanks for the tips though! Cheers!

Hey JP I just noticed something in the plans … it’s calls for 6) 17” small nailers and 6)20” large nailers , if I’m doing this correctly it should be 4) 17” small nailers and 8)20” nailers , not complaining at all the plans are freaking awesome man ! You done a really good job on them and thank u!! Anyways just a heads up!

It is a bit pricey I do agree. But I have used the knock offs and similar products that are cheaper. they do not compare. They aren’t even in the same ball park.
