In this video I will be going through the building of the upper and lower cabinet frames for my miter saw station. I am really thinking of this as a ton of storage drawers with a miter saw on top of them, that being said it will be really nice to have a fence to repeatable cuts!
With a big project like this there are a ton of repetitive things that need to be done and I share my thoughts on how to save a few moments of time here an there to help you be most efficient in your workshop as you complete your projects.

Studied Lean six sigma while in the military (Navy aviation). We had many of the old school doubting the process. After my division implemented new processes, I briefed my before and after production numbers. It's benefits are undeniable. Anyone who owns a business or is management I highly recommend reading up on the theory/idea/philosophy. Nice build!

Great Video. An idea I have been bouncing around is to build an electrical box into the table tops that the machine plugs into. the plug flip with the machine so should be no worries on cord tangling. The wiring for the boxes can run through the inside of the bar that the table swivels on. With you setup of 4 tools you could wire it all together, plug one wire into your garage plug and be able to turn on any of the 4 machines. That is how I am going to accomplish this when I rebuild mine
@DIYTyler
@DIYTyler 7 жыл бұрын
That is a great idea and several people have mentioned it. I suppose I was always stuck on the idea of full 360 rotation but I may give up on that, just flip the opposite way every time.

How did you keep the 1 1/4” pocket hole screws from poking thru the other side of the plywood. When I use them, I get a slight point that sticks thru. Did you just not drill the pocket holes as deep since 3/4 plywood isn’t quite 3/4”?

Tyler, nice build and good tips for build. It appears you use Sketchup to plan your build, a good practice. Have you used the Sketchup add in CutList Plus. CutList Plus will figure out the best use of your material, there is a small learning curve, but for the price and time investment it has saved me countless hours of laying out material usage. Great project, I look forward to part 2.
