It's wild that a stock 4 door family car is the quickest production car ever produced and anybody can just go and buy it. Matter of time until people start finding ways to up the voltage and be running mid 8's and even low 8's with minor changes. Just to think it's making full power and torque at 1 RPM!!!

Man, comon, going from 9,1 to 8,5 or even 8,1 sec @ 1/4 mile is way, way, way harder than you think and tune elektric car is no joke (basicly no real motor tuned teslas even after years) 1900HP Rimac did 1/4 in 8,62s - do you know how much tune you need for Plaid to match "only" 8,6s any you dreaming about "low 8's with minor changes" + Plaid send full power after 75-80MPH, even with 2,2ton car and "AWD" you cant put 1000+HP to the road without spinning.

@@SKELFER911 Do you know what happens to the KV of a brushless motor when voltage is raised? Tesla is not using 100% of these new motors performance, I bet maybe 70-80% max so there is more performance left to be had. Remove the interior throw in a 30-40kw battery and run it in series to the stock battery which would double your voltage.... Easy Pesy 😜

I think with a software update, a kirky, and some radials it could be a mid 8s car easily. I’d love to see what it could do in the same configuration up at Bandimere where the air is thinner. That would be really interesting.

The plaid is the ultimate troll car. Elon and the tesla team had a plaid + planned as well (something in the 1100hp+ range) One can only imagine how fast the plaid + would be if it is ever released

Dude! Some say hi next time! I always love meeting people and talking cars! 😊 Not yet. I just got the block back right before heading to STL. Getting that painted and starting reassembly will be a weekend project. I’m still waiting on a few other bits to come in before it’ll be ready to fire though. Hopefully those ship out soon. 😬🤞There will definitely be more Supra content coming. It’s just been a long waiting game on parts this year.

Was the Tesla completely stock or was some of the interior stripped out?

It had the passenger seat and rears removed. Not much weight savings, maybe 100lbs. The interesting thing was going from Matt to Nichole was only a 20lb difference and that knocked .10 off. I’d love to see what it would do with a Kirky and some radials up at Bandimere.

Don’t zoom in when the a take off. We can’t see just how fast they are when you do that. Just Zoom in after (or near the end) the race so we can see the time.

Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate your input. I won’t be changing up the style. I understand you lose the perspective of speed, however if something goes sideways it’s easier to see with a tighter frame. I try to keep both cars in the shot so you can see who’s ahead and will follow it to the boards. If you’d like to film at your local track and send me the link I’ll happily take a look at it. I just don’t see how that adjustment would add sufficient value. Maybe you could change my mind with an example.
