i don't hear him mentioning plane waves in this situation but yes generally single free particles are described by plane waves. btw no idea what you mean by everything is stationary. only fairy tale is you thinking you know physics

@@skippyjacksonthesecond Haha, an energy eigenstate is a stationary state. However, in scattering this is rather strange (14:33) because scattering is a kind of perturbation. So using energy eigenstates here is fairy-tale like. P.S. One day you will understand this ;-)
