basically no. while your seed crystal might be slightly impure - the bulk of the material wont contain the impurity. When compounds crystallize it is a sign of high purity

Somewhat true, but inaccurate, if the process is performed incorrectly, or the original crystals formed in less than ideal conditiona, a number of things can occur, for instance impurities can become encapsulated within the crystals. The technique demonstrated in the video is REcrystallization, obviously had the original crystals been "high purity" purification through recrystallization would serve no purpose. Perhaps crystallization is a sign of at least relatively fair purity.
