Coal Front backed up to 7th...That showed you just how good Mitole was who was part of that grueling pace...Mitole was surrounded when they hit the stretch and pulled clear...Also was strong through the Wire...He never even been past 7 furlongs either...Absolutely Dominated this Met Mile Field...Nice run by mckinzie to close past thunder snow but after that he was not making much ground on Mitole..."7" straight Wins by this Monster

Dahoss agreed. I’ve seen and made money on Mitole his last three races! He took Whitmores place as the speed monster to now another level. I also think though that he could possibly break 1:32 in the mile...honestly. He let Coal Front dictate the speed and although very fast...this was slower than Serengeti fractions in the Acorn a couple races before. Mitoles a different animal than these others...even Makenzie. I think if they run the mile together again Mitole should blow the fractions out the water and just see what Makenzie does with it. Some would think if Makenzie could stay up enough the fast pace would help him. But this is different kinda speed. I think we’d get more of a Belmont Secretariat wearing Sham out and winning huge kinda result!

First time at the Mile...44 and 108 Fractions up front...Still Won and was Strong to the Wire...MUCH MUCH the Best...Without these Blistering Fractions Mckinzie would have never even been Close...And once he got close to Mitole he was not making up much ground anymore because Mitole was Still STRONG to the wire...Bottom line is that Mitole was obviously the Best horse in this race under all the circumstances

Can't wait for Mitole to try McKinzie again, he will get his azz handed to him.

Let me know when Mckinzie actually "Wins" a race...He gets Beaten constantly...He is just not that good...Mitole was a "Superior" horse to him
@joechrow83414 жыл бұрын
If they ever faced off again it would be much worse for mckinzie because i doubt he would get the same insane fractions to run into and he would not even come close...Those fractions were the only reason Mckinzie even hit the board

McKinzie was much the best, bad racing luck.
@vambo132575 жыл бұрын
@robert holloway you do not know horse racing. McKinzie was bottled up and lost at least 3 lengths and finished 3/4's back. Get some glasses or have someone watch the race with you who knows what they are looking at.

Mitole won by luck, terrible ride by Mike Smith, absolutely horrific.

WTF is on McKinzie? Mike Smith. Jeez, he shouldn't be riding too many horses for one day - there was no reason for McKinzie to lose here - the horse should not have lost
@mus34155 жыл бұрын
he didn't have enough room to fly down the stretch. once he was able to, it was too late
@krusty95705 жыл бұрын
True...I thought he could have swung to the outside earlier and had a clear shot. But Mitole is the best sprinter in the world. It would still have been hard for him to catch him.
@MsLinjohn5 жыл бұрын
Clearly Mitole would have lost to McKenzie had he not been blocked. Of all jockeys Mike was said to be the expert avoiding a wall of horses. This just showed that is not true. Thundersnow jockey was better
@krusty95705 жыл бұрын
Mitole is the fastest horse. It just depends on the race and fractions on how close McKinzie gets in the end. With a clear path yes McKinzie probably gets even closer. But you also have to remember Mitole chose to NOT dictate the pace the race. So the fractions were actually slower than the previous mile race run that day with Serengeti where the winner that race won in 1:33. Slower fractions and Mitole still ran in 1:32 and change. Mitole could have dictated a much faster pace had he chosen to making it even tougher on McKinzie. This was best case scenario pace wise for McKinzie abs he still lost. You can woulda coulda shoulda all you want but it ain’t gonna happen against Mitole 1 mile and under

Watch race again...Mckinzie was never gonna catch Mitole...Mitole finished strong and Mckinzie was making no ground on him after he passed thunder snow
