when i first heard her music, i remember thinking that i felt like her songs were directly for me, like i'd never felt so connected to somebodys writing before. i know she is so different, so unique, and her hard work is paying off!

Mitski is one of my biggest inspirations. There are only a handful of Asian women in indie music. She makes me feel like I belong!

I think it's pretty clear the internet absolutely loves you, even if we can't all get out there and see you perform. You're great at what you do, and it's a bonus to see your personal side through these clips. Touring is exhausting, to be sure, but I think I speak for us all when I say we'd still snatch up anything else you want to record and share, studio or live.

I only recently listened to Mitski when my daughter bought her latest album and I loved it so much. Since then, I have seen quite a few live performances. She is so captivating to watch, very talented and beautiful. There is just something about her that is so compelling that you get drawn into the performance and can't take your eyes off the screen.

i was raised as an asian girl and despite not identifying with that anymore, i think the little girl i used to be seen as would've loved mitski just as much as i do now. her music makes ME feel seen, heard, and loved. she is my reminder that people can hear me; that people understand and feel and see me. mitski reminds me that i am not alone. and there is so much comfort in seeing people who look a little bit like you doing things you thought were impossible for you.
