@@ynaraotoni6079 sorry this is late but a pearl is a protective layer a clam produces to protect itself when anything gets into it, in "a pearl" she's comparing it to her trauma, despite being in a loving relationship she's unable to look away from her pearl/trauma and move on. The meaning of Pearl Diver is less obvious but looking at the lyrics it possibly could be the same metaphor: The hunter is searching for the beautiful pearl, diving further and further until he's lost in the dark murky waters. If it's following the same metaphor he keeps trying to find something beautiful in his trauma (that "good damage"), he doesn't realize there's beauty in being able to simply move on and let go of his pearl, so his trauma consumes him. "Oh hunter, if you didn't want the beautiful so badly Perhaps you would've found it in your spirit singing softly"
