From Montreal Canada (yes where it gets damn cold in winter ;) am looking into replacing the stock Haier a/c in our condo with this model heat pump. Had Mitz before and liked it. Only question I have is do we really need to clean the small filter every 2 weeks? Our condo is in total about 1500 sqft thus getting the FS18.

No no, every two weeks is an overkill but some people really like clean air. It is recommended to clean it on average every 3-4 months. We think that's probably more realistic.

Hi. Thanks for the video. What mitsubishi mini split would you recommend to heat a 300sq ft room to 80° F. 9000 btu 12000 btu 18000 btu I'm in the midwest and winter temps can be well below 0°F with lots of snow. Room is insulated with R21 in walls and attic and floor is R10. Thanks

9,000 BTU will be sufficient if you don't have an excessive window count.

Can you compare Mitsubishi WR series vs Daikin 17 SEER single zone 18,000 btu units? Thanks

We can do a video about it. I think it comes down to which brand is better since efficiency and size are the approximately the same (Mitsubishi is 18 SEER2). We prefer Mitsubishi over Daikin when it comes to mini splits because of customer support/part availability/overall product quality. We used to carry Daikin but dropped it after dealing with too many issues. We think their partnership with Goodman did not help their cause of elevating high quality
