Call out for the Mitsubishi Electric City Multi VRF Heat Recovery system that was displaying a 5105 fault code.

More accurate reading for what is actually coming back from the system. That oil return line is dumping hot oil/small amount of discharge gas into the suction line. If there thermistor was there or down stream you would not pick up on flood back. Also with the thermistors in the position they are in; you have the safety net of the accumulator to save you in the event of flood back.

Worst part about out working on some of these hvac systems is restricted access.
@LC-qi5ff
The system wouldn’t be able to calculate superheat accurately because the of the hot oil entering the suction line downstream of the accumulator

Good job

Straight up , bullshit working area. I use to run service like you, after 20 years I got a cushey factory job. Jobs are split up by the trades. If I had to change out a compressor on one of them, this is how it's going to go down. 1. I recover 2. Cut back the refrigeration lines and remove all electrical. 3. Call the Millwrights and let me know when they got that shit swapped out. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.
