From my experience anything inside a plant room will Just last some much longer. Had a branch box fail 3 years ago and that wasn’t fun for anyone as they haven’t made them for almost 10 years. And that top panel rattle is a common rattle in my building too Keep up the good work 👍

What's the Bluetooth range like? Great vids BTW

City Multi don’t have a recovery/evacuation mode on their HR units. Because their HR units are two pipes you’re able to pull from both sides. The PUHY does have function 988 Recovery/Evacuation mode.

@hvacraustralia14 күн бұрын
The unit had its own dedicated power supply. It’s a legal requirement here. If they’re all seperate units you will probably need dedicates supply’s to each. If it’s a multi head unit everything will be run off one supply. Probably best to check your local codes to see what is required for your area.
@michaelburns568016 күн бұрын
You can put it in charge mode (mode 20 and shut the liquid line service valve) and charge it down the liquid line straight from the bottle. So no chance of any liquid getting back and much faster if you’re chucking in a lot of charge. Also if you put it through test mode before chucking in the additional charge it may judge the line lengths wrong and get its target pressures wrong. Charge mode lets you fire it up before test mode too.
@hvacraustralia14 күн бұрын
Thanks mate. I took a stab and thought 960g wouldn’t make much difference so I didn’t do another test mode. If I go back once the additional 3 head have been added I’ll put the system through another test mode then.

BS Boxes should be treated as an indoor unit and should never be outside unless it's in a enclosed accessible space. I'm from Canada as well
@Jim-yk9zw13 күн бұрын
You Canadians have to endure way colder winters where everything wants to freeze over which we just don't quite get in most of Australia, so that could be a significant reason why. Total exposure to the elements probably isn't ideal for the branch box though no matter where it is.

Hi don’t you need to put the unit on recovery mode to open all valves or something
@hvacraustralia18 күн бұрын
Not with City Multi. They don’t even provide you with an option to do it via their Functions list. All their systems are two pipe, including their Heat Recovery, so you’re always pulling from both sides of the system. All other manufactures VRV/F I’ve worked on yes, you do need to put in into a recovery/evacuation mode.

I wondered if they swapped phases at the compressor to preserve the blower rotation. But I came to say maybe you should make a short clip documenting the mQ weirdness and then go to their support portal and raise an issue. And you had that other thing where the metric units weren’t honored when viewing the probes. Somebody should tell them.

Is the reversing valve the issue? Combined with the low compressor starting speed, lack of differential pressure to slide the valve over fully so it ends up sitting half way, bypassing until there's enough gas flow to get it positioned right? My logic is those reversing valves are driven by the pressure differential, right?
@hvacraustralia23 күн бұрын
I don’t believe so in this instance. Every time I’ve had a faulty RV I’ve seen some sort of pressure and temperature difference somewhere in the system. On these I had no movement anywhere.

How are you sir I've a question about the indoor unit there's no signal to the remote control . Please answer me if you have any informations about it
@hvacraustraliaАй бұрын
The 12VDC power for the wall controller is supplied from the indoor PCB. Check the TB15 terminal at the indoor PCB for the 12VDC supply. Check the wiring between the PCB and controller for continuity. Also, if the PCB has recently been replaced confirm it has been addressed using the rotary dials located on the board. The pcb won’t send power to the wall controller if it hasn’t been addressed. Check what the LED’s on the PCB are doing also. They can tell you a lot. Hope this helps 🤙
