I have one of these and you are the first person to give anywhere NEAR an accurate range assessment, Cheers and thanks, By the way, I would buy another one straight away, its Fantastic, its been the most fun and cheapest 14 months of motoring Ive ever had. In the first 12 months I covered 8,000klm at a cost of get this $330 in electricity.

Ive had mine for 16mths now, 22k later and still going well. Been through one replacement front windscreen (10 days to arrive) and side mirror, two week arrival. Parts seem reasonably priced and fast to arrive. Ive always charged to 100% overnight. Range as displayed on the GOM, a max of 132km in summer, 95km in winter.

@@DarrylTalks what interior space is in the back (length and width behind the front seats)? Could one fit a mattress in the back and lie down comfortably? many thanks
@metricstormtrooper5 жыл бұрын
@@kieron82 HI Ive got one of these and a mattress like a futon would fit, and if you put the drivers seat forward it would be plenty long enough for someone 6 foot like me, The passenger seat can't be moved so that side would be a little shorter, I think its around 1940mm ish.

I've just made enquiries about importing one of these to the UK and at £10k they work out quite pricey, but I'd love to have one of these to putter around in.

What I like over this fuel efficient Ev then the hybrid prius is the van options especially the fold down rear seat. When i need to transport items but more then that no one would suspect this mini van as a stealth campervan if needed.
@jestronixhanderson98986 жыл бұрын
Great review, I have been looking at these as a city run about. The fuel costs saved compared to my outback would mean I could pay one of these off in 4 years. I only need to balance up safety and range. Can t imagine this tin can had any impressive crash ratings :) but for low speed city delivering this would be ace.
@metricstormtrooper5 жыл бұрын
Hi this little tin box has a 4 star rating in japan, I have one and feel much safer than in our Honda Crx, and its far better than a Great Wall utility.

Mitzubishi, Nissan, Hino, All make semi trucks or large trucks. Seems like Tesla is coming for them big time next year. I guess vans are a category not with a Tesla target on it.

How much does it cost ? Import to New Zealand fee isnt expenisve ?
@DarrylTalks3 жыл бұрын
Shipping any car to New Zealand from Japan is a very low cost. Only NZ$1200- 2500. We don't have any car import fees or taxes, other than a safety compliance and emissions check. We don't special fees or taxes for the import of any normal consumer products, clothing, food, car, toy, shoes, furniture, anything from most countries. There are special taxes on fuel, alcohol, tobacco , weapons, medicines, these, are all controlled. New Zealand is a free trade economy mostly. There is a 15% sales tax on everything, all goods and services you buy at normal shops. So cars have a 15% sales tax, no luxury car tax. Since July 2021, electric cars have a rebate about NZ$8000, at first sale in New Zealand, for new and used cars. So the little van could be brought to New Zealand and be sold for less in NZ than paid in Japan. Used Mitsubishi and Nissan EVs are very cheap in New Zealand and the DC charging network, is over 90% of highways, less than 75km apart.
