We've just picked up a 2024 Aspire 2WD in sterling silver with added factory toe bar, nudge bar, tinted windows and rubber boot protector. My wife is absolutely delighted driving it and loves the added safely features and heads up display. It's very roomy and our kids love sitting in the second row. The boot space with the third row down is excellent. You're an excellent reviewer!

Thanks for that! Glad you’re happy. 😃
@madness85563 ай бұрын
IMHO, the Aspire is the best value especially after negotiating a better deal where there was only about a $1500 price difference between the LS Black Edition and the Aspire. For that extra mula, the Aspire offers a larger 10.8 inch touch screen, heads up display, and auto tailgate, not available on competing cars at the same trim levels such as the Nissan X Trail ST-L that we also seriously considered.
@jeruelnathan18452 ай бұрын
I have the LS, which is a great value for money option imo, and about the adaptive cruise control being prioritised on the driver's instrument cluster, there is a setting that allows you to stay in the section you are in without switching over when you activate it.

Great review! We picked up an Exceed Tourer in November and got 10% off the drive away price, which is only about $5k over an Aspire 2WD. We keep our cars long term and the 10 year warranty is what did it for us. It isn't the best handling car, it doesn't have a heap of power but is a very comfortable car, and it is more than enough for us to live with for the next 8 or so years. Loaded up with 2 adults, 2 kids and luggage, in AWD form we achieved 6.3L/100klm on the highway too with very little effort.

Great review !! The features are great for the price. For people who are already using the car, what are your thoughts on the steering and body roll ?
@therightcarАй бұрын
Thanks mate. I think the steering is one of my least favourite traits in the Outlander. Bit too over-responsive around the straight ahead position. Body roll? Not excessive for this type of car.

Looks a capable SUV, not top of the line, CVT plus non-turbo engine isn’t wonderful. It’s definitely a 5 + 2, great for families, though the Kia Sorento is a better car to buy I suspect. Fuel consumption looks a bit high. Mitsubishi’s have reasonable reliability but I surely wouldn’t want to put anyone I care about in the two back seats. A great review, thorough and fair.

I can't wait for mine to arrive, but they said it might not be till the end of May! I have a 2014 RAV4 and have never had a problem with it, but as it is 10 years old I think it is time to get a car that is a bit more modern. So, I took an Outlander Aspire for a test drive, and absolutely fell in love with it. Not only that, but I am getting a lot of accessories to personalise my car. I even let the little kid in me choose to get all the pretty blue lights. lol I had been waiting for Toyota to make a new RAV4 that I liked. Sorry Toyota, I am switching you for the new Mitsubishi. My husband is buying himself the new Triton as his current Triton is 5 years old and needs an upgrade too. :)

So i prefer the look of the previous generation(feels less like a rebadged Xtrail) but the drive on that generation i kind of agree, despite have a 2. 4l engine it feels very lethargic under load and the cvt was over enthusiastic with the revs at low speed but it did what it said on the tin and the price wasnt too raucus. Now it kind of is due to all the. nissan bits in it and yes for 7 people its the worst for the 3rd row. But despite all that its a striaght forward mid size Suv its not that shouty but if you spend the money it can get fancy.

Looks like the Sorento 2024 or the Santa Fe 2024 are both objectively better all around (3rd row space, comfort, infotainment...). That said, the design of the new Santa Fe is definitely not to my taste, so our next family car will prolly be the Sorento. By the way, in this category, you also have the new Renault Espace we tried as well. Pack up a punch for the money, specially the infotainment. But again, the overall feeling is just better in Hyundai/Kia cars. Next up in four months: the new 5008. Not holding my breath, since it will be plagued with same design and conception issues than the new 3008, and will hit a major price tag.
@therightcar8 ай бұрын
