I have "touch" commands on my 2.8 for most os gauges and cockpit illuminations ... rpm needle, external temperature indicator, compass, super select lights and heating/aircon controls...

I guess it is a common thing with these cars from this era. I have hit mine too. What could be cause?

@@brianbiomdoke8741 just try to replace it or anything new since it just too old to work make it work properly just like any turbo bearing.

I have 480 000 km driven 2.8 td pajero and it starts easily in winter time. It has working glow plugs.

Wouldnt doubt it, great cars if taken care of.

@@kaurikartmann Yes. Just change oil and all the filters regularly and it will last unbelievable long. Not to forget to let it idle a while after use before turning it off. Cheap and easy way to make it last.

Pasi Fsc mines coming up on 480 this week actually and my glow plugs are due ! Other than that and a few oil and exhaust leaks she runs great still once warmed up!

What’s the problem with the needle , mine is doing the same thing . I bet when you get your pajero started it’ll smoke for about 10 minutes ?

Automatic pre heaters are crap,know a dude who wired a switch into the relay and activated the glow plugs himself all the time,for extreme colds it took 40 seconds and car started fine

@@kaurikartmann it makes diesel easy to start,yours is a 4m40 yes? You can get cylinder block heaters,or very high quality glow plugs to make starting easy

That carbon trim comes from a pajero evolution. Those are expensive they an go upto 2000-2500$ for the whole set of trims. Keep it only 2500pajero evos are made therefore only 2500 sets exist worldwide

The car is still alive and running strong, the bad start in this video is caused by worn injectors and only 1 of the four glow plugs was working.
