Hi, Great video! I just want to confirm the addition of the diode, please. I have a 2013 Triton. I have installed a twin cord cable from the brake controller to the tow plug and it will be easy to pick up the brake switch (source) for the brake controller (red wire) from the brake light pin in the 7 pin tow plug to go back to the brake controller. So I will have the issue you mentioned in your video when applying the brake controller, it will feed power back to the vehicle computer. That is why the use of the diode? Could you please explain this set-up connecting the diode and the tow plug again?

It’s only an issue when you tap the emergency brake button, as that feeds voltage back into the circuit. You may find being an older car it’s fine, especially if you tap into the trailer plug wires. My 2014 GX Land Cruiser doesn’t have one on it and is totally fine.

Mate - where did you pick up the wires for the brakes. I have the factory OEM trailer loom fitted and can see the blue cable in the passenger footwell that runs through to the back of the car to the trailer module. Did you feed your blue cable from the tow pro to it? And did you pick up the brake feed from the OEM loom that is wrapped at the top of the brake pedal?

No I ran a wire pair all the way to the trailer plug and picked up from the brake light there as it’s past the ECU for the trailer lights.

Great info, thanks. Where did you get the Trailer Vision Anderson cover from? I looked on their website and you can't buy them from there and no where did they say who their distributors are.
